So, all is well. My runs are going exceptional, BF is down again and LBM keeps going up, yeah carbs! Training back tonight, my favorite! Going to super-set abs in-between so I remember to do them, I HATE doing abs, as most competitors do!

I was right, training legs last night was a STRUGGLE. I can tell though my metabolism is back up after carbbing today because I am hungry. Roger is going to check my stat’s tomorrow. I have to train a client at 6:30am, then do my run. I taught cycle today at 6am, lots of early mornings here lately. TTFN

…..and counting. I am excited about this show and ready for it to be over at the same time. I have never had to maintain for so long, I am always used to having to always lose. Anyhow, I have begun hi-los and as usual, they suck. I have to train legs tonight, that should be a boat load of nothing but pure joy. But, back to carbs tomorrow. My other self challenge is going really well. I really enjoy running, it clears my mind and relaxes me. I guess I feel like since I have to do cardio anyhow I might as well have another reason, and another reason to stay lean. My BF% is holding at 9% and my lean body mass is staying around 136, that will come down as the show approaches. But, we know that so we also knew we needed to get it up. Let’s see, what else? I teach cycle tomorrow at 6am, nice way to get a cardio out of the way, I have four new male clients, that is great also. AND I did hot yoga for the first time, it was FANTASTIC! I have a friend who owns a studio and I cannot tell you how much I loved it. It was an athletic form, so it was like cardioish (if that’s a word!) So, there you have it folks, till next time….

So I’m down another half pound in fat, I really don’t have alot more changes to make, just stay around where I am and in the next 3-4 weeks come down another percent and some, probably 3-4 pounds. I’ve never been at this point before, I am eating plenty of carbs, my muscles are staying full, I’m not tired, I’m full of energy….this is great! My LBM is staying on as well, which has always come natural for me, the genetics work in my favor in that area, good german genes I guess. So, 35 days from now pre-judging will be over! I can’t wait, I’m so excited about this show!

So I am now 38 days out, I lost about another half pound of fat and put on a couple pounds of LBM. Last week my LBM dropped a little so we had to pick up the carbs. I am going to increase my cardio a little more this week, and get the rest of my fat pounds off. I need to lose about 4 more pounds. I’m loving my diet right now, and I do enjoy cardio, especially since I’m doing cardio for two reasons right now, the show, and then the race, the race is October 6. I’m really excited about that as well. Running is becoming my zen time. TTFN.

Contest prep is going very well. I am used to lo-carb and double cardio, but since I was smart enough to keep my weight down this past year I am not having to do as much of that. I am eating more carbs than I ever have and I love it! I love being full and having my muscles look full. I am very excited about my next show, I already have my post contest meal planned. It will of course start with several Mich. Ultras! Anyhow, everything is great…work, love life, diet, training, it’s all flowing right along. And I discovered a new recipie, "sweet potato oatmeal refrigerator cookies" Check them out at parrillozone.com. I love John Parrillo, he’s great! Roger will check my BF% again tomorrow, it should be under 10 by now. I will post it!

My best guy friend recommended I become a "blogger". I guess he finds me interesting. I think I just like to talk. But I guess when you get someone talking about something they are truely passionate about, it shows. Training is my passion. Lifting, cardio, even the diet, I love it all. I love watching my body change as I get ready for a show. I love the feeling I have after a good workout. I always heard, "find something you love to do, get paid for it, and you’ll never have to work again." Well, I’ve done it. Personal training is not like work to me. I honestly love my clients.
So, speaking of workouts, I had the best back workout of my like on Saturday. My friend is a massage therapist and she really gave me some deep tissue treatment on my back. Therefore my range of motion was incredible! My focus was on width movements. I tell you, it was rockin’. I almost could feel my back getting wider.
My next show is September 22, the Mountaineer in Boone, NC. I’m really excited. I love the challenge, to try and come in better than the last time. This sport is quite an addiction, but it’s a good one, I feel. My most valuable asset is my body. Maybe that sounds conceited, but think about it. Your body is the one thing your are born with, die with and own outright. So, love it or hate it, its yours, so you might as well take care of it. Treat it like the gift it is! No matter how many cars you own, or how big your house is, your body goes everywhere you go. It is your own personal ad.
Well, TTFN. More on cooking, training and my big plans next time!
