I bought a bottle of NO Shotgun at the advice of a friend, looking for something to fuel gains. At $45 bucks a bottle, the stuff is kinda expensive. And it tastes like crap. Bad.

According to VPX,

VPX NO-Shotgun fuels episodes of physical intensity to induce insane muscle pumps that can lead to muscle growth. The biochemical and physiological response to when combined with intense resistance training causes extra trauma to occur to trained muscle. Greater resistance to muscle results in significantly increased internal pressure (the pump). And as you know, the better the pump the greater the trauma caused to muscle-tissue. The end result: increased ability to build larger muscle!

If you can handle the taste, you will be pretty please with the results of the product. It definitely gives you some insane pumps. So much so it often hurts to continue working out. For me, the amount of Redline in the product seemed to be pretty high because it made me sweat like crazy and got me pretty heated up. The first few doses you will feel like you need to puke. I know for a fact that the product has made several people puke while working out.

I just did not like the overheating effect the product had on me while I was working out. When I lift I want to be comfortable so I can concentrate on the muscles I am working. I don’t want to stop every few minutes because I am so sweaty and hot I need a break.

Overall I would have to say NO Shotgun provided pretty good results. Now if you can improve on the taste and lower the dosage of redline I would buy another bottle. Until then….. not so much.

Overall rating: C+

EpiDrol represents an entire new category we call “Designer Anabolics”. These are compounds that elicit what every athlete is looking for (increase in lean muscle, decrease in fat, anti-estrogen properties) without the negative side effects that had been considered “standard” up until this point. Well those days of terrible sides such as bloating, acne, drop in sexual desire and terrible crash after you ceased use are over. Introducing our first release in our Designer Anabolics line…EpiDrol! EpiDrol is a compound that’s not only extremely effective at building muscle mass and strength due to it’s very high anabolic score, but is also an extremely effective anti-estrogen that’s been used safely for years in Japan.

EpiDrol is an extremely potent compound. It has about a 12 to 1 anabolic to androgenic ratio, which is very good. EpiDrol has around 11 times the anabolic activity of methyltestosterone after oral administration. As mentioned above EpiDrol is extremely safe as well. It has no reported progestational activity. EpiDrol is a 100% pure, pharmaceutical-grade quality product. Since we have tremendous sourcing at Genera, and therefore get a very good deal on all raw materials, we are able to pass the savings on to you. What you can expect from EpiDrol…

I can honestly say the facts are true. After six weeks on this product, my lifts increased by 20-30 lbs and I gained a half inch on my arms and chest with no weight gain. This was exactly what I needed to get over my plateau and start packing on some muscle.

I light PCT is required if you are pulsing the product. I used Get Diesel’s Diesel Test Hardcore for mine and experienced no post cycle problems. While on cycle, I experienced very minor back pumps the first week and some increase in acne, but overall, very little in the way of side effects.

I would strongly recommend this product to any lifter over 35 looking to get out of that rut or looking to do a recomp. Just make sure you are fit and have no medical problems including any liver or kidney issues as with any methylated anabolic, it can be stressful on your liver. By all means, do your homework and read the forums before you take it. This isn’t kid stuff so don’t just buy a bottle and start popin pills.

Multivitamin and mineral supplements are perhaps the most important single supplement that can be consumed by bodybuilders and athletes. This is even more important for a lifter over 40.

Animal Pack was recommended by a friend as one of the best vitamin supplement packs on the market so of course I tried it.

I went through 2 cans each containing 44 packs. There are 11 pills in each pack so if you have a problem taking pills, this is not for you.

According to Universal, “Each Pak contains a powerful combination of cutting-edge mega-cycle vitamin & mineral complexes, performance enhancers, lipotropics, digestive enzymes and high potency energizers. Animal Pak consists of a perfectly balanced, time-released formula that is easily assimilated by your body for perfect bioavailability and optimum performance.”

In comparison, there are 11 pills in an Animal Pack daily dosage vs 3 pills for Optimum Nutrition Opti-men.
The price for Animal Pack is $.52 per day vs $.38 per day for Opti-men.

My thoughts on the product:
I stopped taking Animal pack because I didn’t think it was doing anything for me. I switched to a Vitamin Shoppe brand multi and immediately noticed I started getting the sniffles a little more often and colds a little more often when I was not taking the Animal Pack. While Animal Pack is considered among the industry leaders as best vitamin and has been voted as best Vitamin by BB.com readers, it faces some serious competition from ON Opti-men. When its not on sale somewhere, it can be considered expensive at $.52 per day. (You can find it on other websites for around $19.95 which would put it at around $.45 per day).

Personally I am going to try ON Opti-Men next to make a comparison, but overall I would rank Animal Pack as one of my favorites despite the cost. The addition of the digestive enzymes and the apparent ability to help ward off colds, make it much better than the typical generic or store brand multivitamin.

Bulk or Cut how do you know when to do each. Its hard for me at least, cause I feel like I need to add weight in order to add some muscle mass, but I still have areas (like my waist) where I would like to cut.

I started using NO Shotgun to see if I could get my intensity up a little. Seems to be good stuff. Tastes like rotten fermented apples, but if you can plug your nose and chug the stuff it gives great pumps and a high energy workout. It seems to work better after eating a few hours before hand.

I had been having some stomach problems so I decided to switch things aroud. I went back to the old standby (ON 100% Whey) I had been using Cytosport complete whey because it tastse a heck of a lot better. The stomach problems started while I was testing Designer Supplements NO Limits product. I can’t pinpoint the problem with that supp, but since I changed to NO Shotgun, Xtend and Myozene and ON Whey I have not had any stomach problems.

I have really tried to intensify my workouts. I really want to add more mass so I am really busting my buns trying. My diet still sucks. Having to work and having kids really makes it hard.

Here is my latest split. Let me know what you think.

Saturday - Shoulders & Triceps
Smith Machine overhead presses
Alternating side laterals
Alternating front lateral
Bent over laterals
Closed grip bench press
Overhead extensions
Triceps dumbbell throwbacks
Rope pull downs

Sunday - Back and Traps
Lat pull downs
Hammer Strength machine - Rows
Hammer Strength Machine - Overhead
Bent over rows
Dumbbell shrugs
Hanley shrugs

Monday - off

Tuesday - Legs & Forearms
Squats
Incline squats
Leg Presses
Lying extensions
Seated curls
Calf presses
Seated calf raises
Forearm curls

Wednesday - Chest & Biceps
Chest Press
Incline Flys
Hammer Strength - Iso Laterals
Cable Presses
Barbell curls
Concentration curls (With supination)
Hammer Curls
High cable curls

Thursday & Friday - off

I normally do abs on Leg and back day since it is a faster workout. Not much cardio right now since I am really trying to add mass instead of cut, plus the intensity of my workouts and the Redline in the NO Shotgun really helps you burn.

I’d like to hear what you think about the splits.

Thanks.

Recently got an online personal trainer and am looking forward to working with him on my nutrition and training program. I am more concerned about the nutrition because its so confusing. What’s a good carb, bad carb, High Glycemic Index blah blah blah… You could go crazy figuring all this stuff out.

Tomorrow is lower body and abs. Hope to get some better energy. I have to say, I feel more pumped taking 2 lipo 6 right before my workout than using the Hyper Shock. I am a little disappointed with it. Let’s see what happens tomorrow.
