500 Leg Press
Yeh so i set myself a goal last week to do a 500kg leg press over the weekend i was sorta on the buzz that i wouldnt be able to do it. All my work shifts have been changed and that is usually really bad for my training plan.
So yeh got up this morning was supposed to be doing back and hamz but i was on a high for some reason eaven though i only had about 4hours sleep lasnyt. Had so much energy i thought to myself what the hell im doing legs today its been ages since i did legs at the start of the week.
So i got to the gym warmed up and started my leg training. By the time i got to the leg press i was doubtfull but though ahhh heck with it ima push my luck!
So i got down to it
200kg warm up set
1st set 300 kg 8 reps
2nd set 400 kg 8 reps
3rd set 440 kg 8 reps
ooo that feels different!
After a bit of loitering (looking for spotters)
4th set 480 kg 6 reps
By now im thinkin sh*t if i go any heavier im gonna snap my legs. But against the will of my consciance i add 1 more 20 kg plate…..
With a lurch n a few groans up it goes
5th set 500kg 5 reps
Roling off the leg press in pain my legs feeling like 2 blocks of concrete as they hit the floor, i look up with a smile on my face quite chuffed with myself.
Crap im supposed to do 1 more set!!! I didnt want to push my luck too much in 1 day so i dropped the weight.
6th set 300kg 7 reps
