Advocate for legalization of AAS

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Ever wonder why steroids aren’t legal? I have. But that’s as far as the thought has gotten. A largely uneducated,

"Hey, why is this stuff illegal?"

Nothing too deep there, eh?

Take a look at this video though. (Yes, I’ve been the YouTube fool today!)

12. Lichten -- Testosterone levels and diabetes

The good doctor states that testosterone could help 10 million diabetics as well as 20 million who many not realize they have diabetes! The use of testosterone with diabetics would cut into the sale and administration of insulin as well. I wonder what big pharmaceutical companies think about that.

Big Pharma: "What? Say again? An almost cure for diabetes? Uh…"

Know anyone with diabetes?

Blood donation

Monday, August 11th, 2008

I donated blood August 6, 2008. I have several gallons donated and would encourage everyone to give it a try. My blood type is B Positive. How’s that for a blood type and a philosophy of life?

Be Positive!

(Okay, how’s that for a philosophy of Nerditude?)

While I was waiting to donate, there was a woman standing nearby who noticed my Calvin and Hobbes tattoo. She said it was cute and I replied that I get a lot of people who exclaim, “Oh, I LOOOVE Tigger!” when they see the tattoo. Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

Calvin and Hobbes was a cartoon back in the day and it’s still reprinted in some newspapers. Anyway, when I mentioned the comic strip’s name a nurse looked over and said, “I went to high school with that cartoon’s creator.” I was amazed because, hey, I really am a nerd and Bill Watterson is one of my favorite cartoonists (duh, hence the tattoo).

After donating blood instead of exiting the blood mobile, I leaned over to the nurse and asked if Watterson drew in high school. She replied with a smile, “Yes, but nobody really paid attention to him.” Ha! I’ll bet that would make Watterson laugh.

Uh… so that’s my brush with celebrity story. Okay, so actually it’s a brush with someone who brushed with celebrity.

Ever meet a “celebrity”?

Wayne Brady fun!

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Whose line is it anyway - Funniest Songstyles ever!

Wayne Brady’s ability to create songs on demand is simply amazing. And I love how his lyrics were positive and not disrespectful of the female bodybuilder. Just all in good fun all around. :)

What’s the last thing to make you laugh?

Polymer Protein Shake!

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008

Went to Applebee’s today to meet a friend and enjoy a steak. Spent some time watching him kick a video game’s butt and then my good friend and training partner asks if I want a shake. He’s making a protein shake, okay? There was protein powder, ice cream, and an associated ice cream dipper involved.

I’m wondering what part of the dipper fell into the blender container. Because I asked, “Hey, is this chocolate chip or something?” as I’m spitting what I hoped was frozen chocolate into my palm. Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

He says he wonders why the dipper wasn’t working right. Yeah, because a portion of the dipper was crushed up in my shake, dude! Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org

What’s your favorite protein drink recipe?

Basement Jaxx’s Dance FEEE-VAH!

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

Stephen King had a TV series called Kingdom Hospital. Somewhere in that series there’s a song by Basement Jaxx titled “Where’s your head at?” I loved that series (big King fan) and also loved the song. The lyrics went very humorously with the image in the TV show of this guy carrying around a severed head. D’OH!

Anyway, I was just listening to that song on YouTube - it’s playing right now in another open window or Firefox browser. I clicked on another Basement Jaxx vid to see if I liked it as much. This following song isn’t as energetic as the Head song, but the video is creative and fun. Check out the dance routines. Makes me want to find a pair of MC Hammer pants and go nuts.

This one is titled “Take me back to your house.”

Basement Jaxx - Take Me Back To Your House

Yeah, it’s a goofy video mostly, but the dancing is pretty cool. I love bodybuilding - especially the posing. Bodies in motion, baby. Claudia Montemaggi is listed in my lengthy collection of video links on my BodySpace profile. She epitomizes a fit body in motion. What an amazing posing routine. Likewise these dancers. Crazy movement and cool gymnastic skill. My knees would breaking free of their moorings if I attempted similar. Double D’OH!

Do you like to dance?
