Wtf?

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

Anyone ever see something like this?

Find  good wheyprotein  in 3 catamaran company. It  worth mentioning that that the person who is giving you muscle building advice to lose weight just from that  will see fast results using these things, but muscle. It is worth mentioning  that the person who is muscle building program, there are to lose weight just from you

I was checking the main page and looked to see what new blogs had been posted. There are several that include only text similar to what’s noted above. Some nonsense speak. No content on the BodySpacer’s (spammer’s) profile. And there’s a video panel in the blog. What’s that all about? Some kind of newfangled spamming tool?

Whatever. It’s absolutely a waste of BodySpace’s bandwidth. Reported? Oh, yeah.

SNOW DAY!!!!

Gaspari Nutrition

Monday, February 18th, 2008

I’m banking on it being Christmas this week. Hopefully tomorrow! Gaspari Nutrition is sending me a box of supplements for being the somethingsomethingest product reviewer. Not sure if it was baldest or most in need of muscle, but I apparently did something right and the goods are on their way.

Here’s a link to my Gaspari SuperPump250 journal. It hasn’t been updated in nearly a month as I’ve been (insert sound of babies crying here) suffering from the cold-flu-”Am I dead or what?” sickness thing. And then, having recovered from the aforementioned plague, I enthusiastically rushed back into the gym and pulled whatever section of my back is responsible for dumbbell rows. Oh, yes.

Regardless of my recent pathetic whining, Gaspari’s SuperPump250 paved the way for a 30-pound leap in my bench, close-grips, and squat. And (though my percent bodyfat has also taken a leap) my arms are finally 15″ - a number I’ve held in awe since I was a 7th grader and the best arm wrestler in the school said there was this legendary kid who had 15-inch arms. Kinda like a Paul Bunyan in junior high lore.

Okay, okay, okay! My RIGHT arm is fifteen inches while my LEFT arm is, to be honest, only 14 99/100″ It’s driving me nuts. How can the tape measure DENY ME!!!?!?

Ahem.

So, do YOU have a favorite supplement?

Hey, a man can dream…

In ticket price alone, what do you think it would cost to attend all of the following shows? Factor in fuel, food, and a room if I want to stay over… (Yes, it’s a rhetorical question, but wouldn’t it be a blast?)

I snagged this list from the MD website, but I’ve only included shows that are within striking distance of my location so far as a weekend trip goes. And, during August (school’s out of session) I’ve included some shows farther from my front door.

DATE, SHOW, LOCATION

Apr 5, NPC Natural Ohio, Lakewood, OH

Apr 12, NPC Metropolitans, New York, NY

May 2, NPC Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA

May 3, NPC Jay Cutler New England, Boston, MA

May 10, IFBB New York Pro, New York, NY

May 17, NPC Jr USA, Charleston, SC

May 31, NPC Long Island, East Islip, NY

*I attended those shows last year. What a great time. Both shows!

Are you planning on attending any contests this year?

R.I.P. Terri and Bruce Nadler

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

I’ve become a big fan of No Bull Radio with John Romano and Dave Palumbo. The Monday, February 11, 2008 episode included mention of the death of Dr. Bruce J. Nadler and his wife.

Dr. Nadler, a plastic surgeon who conducted hundreds of gynecomastia surgeries, died Monday, February 4, 2008, in an apparent murder-suicide. He and his wife, Terri, were found dead in their home.

Nadler had practiced plastic surgery in Smithtown, New York. He graduated from the Suny Health Science Center Brooklyn with an MD and had been in the profession for more than 30 years prior to his retirement.

MESO-Rx provided this report.

And I found this interview with Nadler in the T-Nation archives.

No Bull Radio reported that two suicide notes were found. Depression over the loss of his medical license is one suspected reason for these deaths.

I saw a billboard during the morning commute yesterday and it listed depression-suicide as responsible for I believe double the deaths of citizens than violent crime.

(Googles)

Well, the double part might be wrong, but it looks like suicide tops homicide as the leading cause of death in many males. And I wonder if depression plays a part in those who die by homicide. The idea of “What the hell does it matter?” or, maybe, suicide by cop.

Could it hurt to talk first?

Marty Vranicar

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

Marty and his brother Pete Vranicar are two legends of bodybuilding in the state of Pennsylvania. I was checking out the interviews on MDTV and saw this one with Dave Palumbo interviewing Marty Vranicar.

Here’s an old article that offers some more Marty info.
