Count increase

My eating plan currently involves a cup of oatmeal and a cup of o.j. in the a.m., peanut butter crackers and a strawberry Nutri-Grain cereal bar in the afternoon, a bottle of grapefruit juice and a banana post-workout/cardio, and a Healthy Choice dinner in the p.m. Occasionally I’ll go to the local diner and order some pickles and tomato slices and a black coffee. Definitely gives the waitresses a laugh. I dropped five pounds (unless the digital scales is broken) during the past week and so have upped the calories a bit. Had a nonfat strawberry yogurt… waitasec, sh!t

Sixteen grams of sugar?

Okay, so I know nothing about nutrition. I better review CT’s eating recommendations again. Duh. No booze and no Krispy Kremes, though, so I’m feeling good about that. Didn’t think I’d be able to say no to my friends Dunkin’ or Krispy. And I’m losing waist inches.

    Glad to see you are loosing weight eating fruits. I have been avoiding them and my doctor got mad at me and made me promise to include some in my diet. The sugar always scared me off. I just try and spread it in small portions through the day.

    I’ve been very strict on the calories and cardio. At least as far as being consistent goes. CT’s text on the importance of consistency really hit me and so I haven’t cheated since I started a few weeks ago. Need to increase the ab work and keep on stripping the fat. I’m not at all where I want to be, but I’m making progress. Thanks for the comment and encouragement.

    Hmmmm….

    I see you’ve got your calorie intake listed, but what’s the prot/carb/fat breakdown like? Could you give us an example of your meals for a day? I’m wondering if bumping up the protein a bit might help out

    I’ll have to take a look at that this weekend. I’m sure you’re right, but have been focusing on the number thing simply to get into a routine of eating less. Thanks for the encouragement, D.
