The Will To Win

The Will to Win
By Melissa Underwood

You can’t coach heart, you can never coach desire,
they must always come from within.
Rules may be learned, and skills developed,
But you cannot be taught the will to win.
You must reach a little deeper to bring out your best,
You must be your own motivation.
Keep going, never quit, you have to have a reason,
You are your own strength, your own inspiration.

Patience Is A Virtue

Friday, January 16th, 2009

Even though I have not been back working out that long, I have seen substantial changes.  Changes that really surprise me because I did not think it would happen so quickly.  While I am very excited to achieve my goals, I know that I need to take it one day at a time and not rush.  I have decided to applaud the little changes I see rather than focus on the major goals I have laid out for myself.  That way I don’t get carried away and wind up injuring myself.

Patience is a gift that we must exercise everyday.  Try not to get frustrated that you are not seeing your gains quickly enough or losing body fat as fast as you like.  Remember, fitness is a lifestyle and will be with your for many years to come.  Enjoy it, embrace it and always challenge yourself.  I look forward to seeing everyone’s progress.  God Bless!
