No good deed goes unpunished…

So, today begins my five week plan to eat clean and (hopefully) see the difference eating right can do for your body.  After reading several articles posted on bodybuilders.com, I feel confident I am armed with good information in order to implement this correctly.  Today I consumed the following: 1452 calories, 28.7 grams of fat, 51.4 grams of sugar, and 137.96 grams of protien.

My goal is to keep my calories between 1200-1500, fat at 20%, less than 40 grams of sugar, and as much protien as I can.  I did well in all areas but sugar - over by 11 grams.  So, far better than my usual white mocha expresso smoothie with a shot of raspberry 20 ounce no whipped cream coffee I nomally get in the morning, followed by whatever fast food my 3 year old dictates to me.

I know that weight is not a good and accurate measurement of progress.  I know, yet still challenged by it.  However, I gained more than 3 pounds by eating healthy.  I do not think this is water weight - I drink lots of water before beginning to eat healthy.  Trying my hardest not to micro-manage my 5 week clean eating plan… I suppose I’ll go do some yoga to let this go. :) Anyways, wish me luck - or better yet, give me result proven advice!  :)

Good Luck, corny, but take it one day at a time. I’m trying myself to really focus on my eating habits.

Your body will take a little while to adjust to eating clean. Your body is confused and it puts on a few lbs. which will go away quick enough with continued clean eating. It happens all the time. Don’t worry about it and just keep going!
