Not sure about the rest of you, but I hate resolutions! This word has so long been associated with January 1st, that people unintentionally keep up their bad habbits until midnight of the 31st. Which, ultimately the over indulgence seems to make changing habbits all that much harder. With that being said, I have spent half of December preping myself into eating clean, and working out smarter. Beginning January 1, I am going to give my goals and life style changes 5 weeks of complete priority, then re-evaluate then. That way I can see what is or is not working, and make modifications accordingly. Wish me luck! I’ll need all the help I can get! Happy New Rear!!!

Did 4 pull-ups today!!! So happy. I’m not sure why pull-ups are so hard for me right now, but at least I have doubled my number from a few days ago - not that 2 is a hard number to double!

So, for the first time, I saw a slight bit of definition in my tricep. I’ve never seen this before. So, either progress is slowly being made, or my brain is so toxin deprived that Im hallucinating! At this point, I don’t really care which. Just glad to see something.

After completing one rep max’s yesterday, I cannot accept the fact that I can only do 2 pull-ups! My goal is at least 10. So, I thought I would give it another go today. 3! Not great, but one more than yesterday! Baby steps, right?

So with the Christmas season, food is not the only source of over indulgence. Shopping is yet another way to release those desired endorphins, and purchase more than needed - fo others of course. But, with all those post Christmas sales, who can resist indulging in shoppng just a wee but more? It’s not spending money, it’s saving! Getting to my point - with the new year quickly approaching, I am want to add a few more piecesof workout attire to my wardrobe. Does anyone have any suggestions of places to get some really cute/sexy workout attire? As I’m sure most of you deal with the same situation, my clothes are starting to look pretty shabby - with getting worn daily, and washed just as much, it’s time to reinvest. Besides - isn’t there research proving that your performance is better when you feel you look good? Maybe with a new sports bra I could bench an additional 50 pounds! Ok, just kidding. But, I do remain optimistic!

So, today at the gym, I went for the purpose of gettng one rep max numbers. I really hate squats with the barbell. It bothers my back greatly. As soon as the bar is set on my shouders, I can feel my spine compounding. I cannot be the only one this effects. Anyways, I figured I would write down my other figures here:
Squat Machine: 400lbs
Hipsled: 455lbs
Pullups: 2 (ouch! My goal is 10)
And because I am currently working out with a friend I am going to record his max reps here too…if I leave them on the piece of paper on my desk, they will be lost forever!
Bench Press: 240 Squat: 270 Deadlift: 315 Bicep Curl (cable): 150/all weight available Barbell Row: 165 Overhead Press: 165 Pullups: 30+ Hipsled: No max, had all 45’s it could hold, plus me on top.

Ok, I was soo excited to go and workout today. I had an absolutely amazing leg workout planned that was sure to cause soreness the next day. But, I woke up to dicover that I was sick…again! I went ahead and taught two yoga classs, and stayed in attempt to workout. But, my heart and body just weren’t into it. I have literally been sick off and on since November 4th! WTF? I’ll be sick fo 3-4 days, then recovering for 3-4 days, then sick with something completely different. This is so fustrating! I have been taking a multi, and vitamin C. Any suggestions? I hate not being able to do what I want - Grrr!

Ok, no excuses. Ate completely horrible tonight! The worst thing is that a few days of hard work seems to completely go out the window in one sitting. Ouch! Biggest obstacle to overcome is not becoming discouraged. Tomorrow is a new day, with a new beginning. Keeping positive happy thoughts….butterflies and puppydogs! Just kidding. But, I CAN DO IT! Need to think of it as a challenge at the gym and kick my eating habbits ASS!!!

Holidays are such a hard time to dramatically change eating habits! I have yet to eat cleanor one entire day!!! Im not too discouraged. My slip ups haven’t been horrible. But still, I would really like to make it one entire day! I am thinking that will have to happen the day after Christmas. New Years Eve I am in a lingerie fashion show at a huge party…. if that’s not motivation to eat good, I don’t know what is!!! Definately have to hit the gym hard this next week.

Ok, so I have been eating dramatically better. Not perfect, but definately a huge improvement over my daily fat and sugar loaded coffee. So, with only three days into this, I feel better. I feel like I can already feel results and see them too! I am convinced that the reality of this is too far fetched, so I think the lack of sugar and fat is creating hallucinations in my mind! Just kidding…..sort of!
