Damage control….
Friday, November 30th, 2007Okay, so I know it has been a while but I was injured. I did learn my lesson though. See, I’ve been working on power lifting and in doing so have totally revamped my bench training. One thing I started doing was "lock-outs". Well, it was performing this exercise using a smith machine that got me in trouble. In order to unrack the weight, you have to role the bar, either forward or backward depending on how your set up, for me it was forward that night. Well, all was going just fine untill I hit 400lbs, prior to that I did hit 380lbs with flying colors. Well, at 400 when I roled forward, my right wrist popped and gave out, the weight drove my arms down and, unfortunately tweeked my wrist. Thankfully I had stops keeping the bar about 3 inches above my chest. Anyhoo, I was jack and have been doing about anything I could to avoid certain pressure on that wrist.
I am back in the game now, there is still a twinge of pain, but I can bench again, dead lift, and later tonight I’ll find if I can hold onto a squat bar without the pain. Anyhoo, that is all for now, hope ya’ll have a great weekend.
