Weekend

What a fun weekend! Friday I had lunch with my Mom at a new Thai place and man was it good! I went to the jeweler and ran a few other errands. On the way out of town, I tried the CF affiliate..again..but no one was there so I got a number to call. I’m beginning to think maybe it’s not a very active affiliate..I’ve been there 3 times now and the last time they posted the WOD was June 3rd. Saturday, my friend Christy, and I went to the lake. We did the trail around the lake first and then swam and floated. It was alot of fun! That evening was the UF finale and my guy won!!! Way to go Amir! I liked Amir but honestly, I would’ve have been rooting for any one fighting CB Dollaway. It was very satisfying to see him get beat the exact same way he lost to Amir the first time and in less time..you just can’t leave those arms hanging down there like that and not expect to get them in an arm bar! Sunday, besides dishes, laundry, sweeping and vaccuming…I did pretty much nothing.  It was a CF rest day and really needed the rest. This morning I ran 5K for CF. I don’t like running much and this morning I realized that I’m probably not doing it very well. It’s hard to explain but I feel like I’m wasting energy somehow going up and down instead of propelling forward. My youngest sons girlfriend is captain of the HS cross country team so maybe I’ll have her teach me how to run. Seems like that should be something intrinsic to everyone but well see. (:

    Mornin’, youngster. Thought about ya last night (skeered?) - as the young lady at Braum’s was ladling that wunnerful stuff over my standard Sat. night cheat, so I thought I’d best check up on ya - make sure you’re keepin’ your nose clean.

    Caught up on your blog - good job! Great that you’re having some success w/ getting hubby involved. I can identify w/ the need to up the fuel a bit - my rigorous morning bodyweight/cardio sessions have stopped my mass gains from the evening lifting sessions - looks like I need MORE FOOD! Increasing to nearly 4,000 Cal - yikes! I think I may have to add in a second cheat around midweek…………DARN! ;)

    Lookin’ good as ever, kid - "gooder," even! Bobbed hair is pretty slick, too. Happy trails!
