WoooHooo

Finally going on vacation with DH:)

Planning to keep my weight at 128.3 lbs (58.2 kg). Some loss wouldn’t hurt either. Can’t wait to visit places and have fun.

I also have a travel blog which you can check out here.  I’ll be trying to update it almost daily (or when i go in an internet cafe, b/c i’m not taking the laptop with me)

Plateau? Ugh

Friday, July 13th, 2007

Well, since i weigh in every Fri, i’m officially STUCK! i was at 58.4 kg (128.8 lbs) last Fri and i’m at the same weight today as well. I do weigh in tomorrow for another challenge so hopefully i can say i’ve "broken" the plateau but..yuck! Don’t like staying at the same weight for 2 consecutive weigh ins :(

I did slack off a bit -ok a bit TOO MUCH - on exercising this week….only 486 cal burnt via cardio (though i plan an hour walk tomorrow, at least, plus a lot of gardening) and 2 days of ST …

i can blame it on my work as usual, or on re-decorating the hallway and the kitchen this week…but still i’m a bit disappointed.

First post …a bit of history

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

This is my first blog here. It’s time for a bit of history. I’m 26 and married. Last year in April i was 165.4 lbs (according to my mechanical scale which proved to be not very accurate to say the least…) and i was about to get married. Scared, fat and discouraged by a saleslady in a bridal shop, I looked for "diets" and ended up on www.sparkpeople.com. Created an account and started losing weight.

On my wedding day, Nov 4, 2006 i was 136 lbs and with both feet within a healthy BMI (i’m 5′2"). I managed to stick to that weight during the holidays but gained a bit during  my finals in Feb 2007.

So in March 2007 i buckled up and restarted my plan on sparkpeople. I’m now at 128.8 lbs and only 9 lbs from my goal of 119 lbs. In Jun i started a body transformation program with a fellow team mate. She told me abt BodyBuilding.com. I got hooked immediately and starting tracking my progress. And it was a progress.

Right now my fitness plan is:

  • burn 1,400 cal/week via cardio
  • do at least 15 min strength training 2-3 times per week
  • when the weather is lousy, use the stepper; when it’s nice, play tennis

I’ve lost 2% BF (calculated wt the navy formula and compared to the Jun value) in one month and a total of 5.6 inches. Which i believe it just AWESOME!:)
