on the front of our space page, where it keeps track of your lifting stats, the part that says "overhead press", which excercise are they referring to? There are several similar in the data base but none called exactly that

Ok, I know I am at the beginning of my journey still, but already I can feel the tingling tug of addiction. All my friends are scared to come by because they are afraid I am going to ask them to work out or ride a bike or God forbid, DO SOMETHING physical. When I get home the first thing I want to do is check out BODY SPACE. I bought a bench and squat rack, why? because I don’t always have time to make the gym(they close early) I have the freedom from work and chores today to do ANYTHING I want, what am I thinking of? THE GYM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe there should be group meetings for us.GAA-Gym-a-holics anonymous.

If I were the muscles in Cheryl’s legs, where would I be hiding? She takes us walking she takes us running, even bicycle riding. She does squats and the leg press, she wears high heels with her dress, she runs up stairs and jumps on chairs, yet when she looks we are still not there. Cheryl wants to see us , but on her we play a trick, cause when she looks down, we STILL look like sticks.

Trying to eat clean is not the hardest part of this for me, I have a natural tendancy to like lighter "healthier" foods and snacks. Don’t get me wrong, I am NO STRANGER to junk foods. I always kinda felt "all things in moderation.", and greasy foods make me nauseous. The chips at lunch and candy bar snack were easy to replace with fruit, etc. And now that I have cleaned up my diet all that stuff tastes like hell anyway. The HARDEST part has been trying to eat that may times and that many calories in a day. The second hardest part has been looking at the fat grams in foods that we THOUGHT were "good" for us, then there is sorting out the good fats bad fats , wait, what. It would be so much easier if some one would just take over my eating. PLEASE. Any volunteers. LOL, just kidding. I know it would be a chore. Peace, Cheryl

I know this is a stupid question, BUT, I’m going to ask it anyway? Someone told me that when I am doing the leg press machine I am supposed to be counting the weight of the plate holder as well as the plates and they said the holder weighed some un-Godly amount like 100 lbs. Is this true, what does it weigh on a magnum brand, etc. I put 150 lbs on it and that is all I have been counting.

Let me start by saying that I am VERY happily with the man of MY dreams for over 15 years now, and I am in no way looking FOR another one, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t look AT a nice looking man. I love men, I think they are beautiful and amazing. So, last night at the gym I had noticed this nice looking young man; well perportioned, toned, tanned, beautiful smile, right. We nodded in passing several times and ended up working on benches next to each other, he began chatting a little and it turned out that he was ONLY 19. I felt like SUCH AN OLD PERVERT for having LOOKED at him. My God, I have kids nearly his age. LOL BUT, he was a beautiful young man and VERY polite. His Mother raised him well.

I am SOOO excited, not only did I gain another 1/2 lb, but I just took my measurements again and I am ACTUALLY growing, not much but some, and have lost more in my waist, or rather, where my waist is SUPPOSED to be. I actually am getting FOREARMS. WOO HOOOOOOOOOO.

I had an AWESOME work out again tonight, I have increased my workout time from 1 hour to 2 because I haven’t felt like I am seeing enough results. I have been eating more and drinking protein. Have actually gained another 1/2 lb (YAY ME) BUT this was a VERY strange day at the gym, I think it was "national NOBODY re-rack your weights night", then I went through 3 towels, not because I was sweating that much but because the same guy kept following me around stealing my towel ( He may just have been a PERV or something since he and his 2 buddies stood behind me to talk everytime I did dead lifts) BUT the best part of all was when the CRAZY lady started jumping on one of the male personal trainer yelling and screaming and cussing accusing him of trying to HURT her intentionally. It was pretty bizzar especially since he took the bate and started fighting back with her. The whole gym just stopped and watched then, in unison, busted up laughing. What a great night. I always enjoy humour. Peace, Love and all that goo-goo stuff. Cheryl

Ok, before I get to my actual blog, I have a question. Maybe I’m just slow or I’m missing the point or something, BUT; Why do some people keep posting the EXACT same pic EVERY day several times a day as a NEW profile or progress pic? Doesn’t that DEFEAT the purpose? Ok, I told you I was slow.

Ok, I know it may not sound THAT exciting to the rest of you, but believe me, IT IS. Yesterday I finally managed to eat ALL 6 times. It has been very difficult for me to put food in that many times a day and I have been making it reasonable size meal/snacks. The only bad thing I ate was a grilled-in-butter honey bun(not TOO bad, right?) And this morning I am already on my way to meal # 1. Wish me luck, I still have lbs of lean muscle to gain.
