AAAhhh… I have no will power! My workouts are going good so far, but my eating is not good. I had the hardest time eating clean, especially on the weekend. I have succumbed to the temptation. This weekend I went over to some friends that I have not seen for a long time for lunch. Did not even think about the food until it was too late. When I got there they were having greasy hamburgers. Unfortunately I had one, and it was a downward spiral from there.
It was like the little devil on my shoulder talking me into eating crap all weekend. Fastfood…"whats the harm its just one sandwich"…… One bite of ice cream won’t hurt…"you’ve been good all week, you deserve this"…..eat more….eat…eat…eat!!!!
Ahh…where is the angel on my other shoulder. His mouth must have been stuffed with that devils food cake!
I make it sound like I ate a whole house, it was not that bad….but it was not that good either. Was far from a clean eating weekend. I will have to get better with my eating if I want to have a respectful showing in the Muscle Tech contest.

So I was sitting around thinking the other day and I realized that I need a little extra motivation to stick with my program. Usually if I can stick to it for a month then I am fine. So to get me through the next couple months, I have decided to enter the MuscleTech contest!
This should be fun, I look forward to seeing everyones progress. Not to mention that it would be great to win the prizes. Who wouldn’t like cash and free supplements!
Anyway, I appreciate all the help and inspiration everyone has given so far and ask that you keep it up. I plan on making you all proud!

I’m not sure if it was the embarrassing pics that I posted the other day or what, but I was very motivated last night and had one of the best lifting sessions I’ve had in a while.
Unfortunately, today I have arms o’jello! This would be fine if I was sitting around resting. But I had to demonstrate like a million different arm/shoulder exercises to patients today. I was able to hide my distress for the most part, though I think that 90 year old lady notice the tear coming down my cheek..LOL
Hmmm…I hope the secretary didn’t think I was trying to steal a peek, but I just couldn’t hold onto that pen.
I won’t even go into the hour massage that I had to give at the end of the day…..just picture wrestling a oiled pig with completely numb arms..lol

I promise you will see some improved pics in a few weeks. Until then to steal a line from NinjaBill - Keep on keepin!

So I have been on a lifters High all week. During this second week of my program I have been sore, not in a bad way. It is that great sore feeling that tells you your on your way to your goals and that you have done something. I love that feeling!
Anyway back to why I feel bad today. Last night we went to some friends house last night for dinner. The food was great, too great, we made homemade stirfry. Nice and healthy, unfortunately the food and the company was too good, so I ate way too much! On top of the food, I could not turn down the homemade margaritas. Did not get drunk, but all that food mixed with a few drinks and presto I feel like a slug today!
I plan on getting some sweat therapy going today and work this out of my system. Unfortunately, today is leg day! CRAP! Why did I do this to myself…LOL
Well wish me luck………hope the emergency squad doesn’t have to come get me…

Well as I sit here looking out at the blizzard that is currently hitting Ohio I realize that I have made it through week one. The soreness is gradually improving. It’s a funny thing, even though I have gotten really sore this week, it has felt great. I think it’s because the soreness is reminding me that I am getting back on track to a active healthly lifestyle again.
I did not realize how much I missed working out. This week was spent performing basic exercises to gradually get back into the flow of things. I lifted weights 3 days chest and back, arms and shoulders, and legs. 3 additional days were spent riding the exercise bike.
Starting this coming week I will be implementing a more focused and planned out program to acheive my goals. I look forward to posting my progress over the weeks to come.
Thanks again to everyone who has contacted me offering their support and friendship. Look forward to meeting many more friends in fitness!

It’s official, I am becoming a Bodybuilding.com junkie! The more time I spend on here the more addicted I become. I love to meet new people and see their stories. Each one gives me a great amount of inspiration.
So far I have met and became friends with some wonderful people on here. Everyone that I have met has been quick to offer their support. I can’t imagine not achieving my goals with this level of support. If you are reading this and we have not met, drop me a line. I would love to meet you!

Well I took the yearly journey to the Arnold Fitness Expo today. This event never fails to inspire me. Seeing all the fit bodies and testing the nutrition products always hypes me up. It also made me realize how out of shape I am.
Blame it on the high from all of the supplements samples, but I felt so reved that the first thing I did upon arriving home was work out. It has been a while since I last exercised, so I am sure I will be sore in the morning. In fact it’s been 7 hours and I am already starting to feel the soreness creaping up on me. I always hate the first week of lifting due to the soreness.
Anyway, as you can tell I am just starting to get back in shape. I will keep you filled in on my progress. I ask you all to help keep me motivated and on track. It’s so nice to get back into health and fitness again. Till next post!
