Hey we like a few beers now and then but we are not all drunks!!!!! Although I think Paddy’s Day is a great day of celebration and the beer certainly flows!! I think most people find a bit of Irish in them and enjoy the day with us… its a day of friendship, fun, music and laughter celebrated in a sea of green when everyone is greeted with a warm affectionate hug!!!! After all the beer I had yesterday I need to get my ass on the road!!!

Irish Blessing
May you always have…
Walls for the winds
A roof for the rain
Tea beside the fire
Laughter to cheer you
Those you love near you
And all your heart might desire

Five weeks with no workouts.. 5 weeks on army rations.. thoughts of the gym and the feel of the heavy weights occupied my mind daily.. I get back.. raring to go.. like a kid at christmas.. dying for that locker room smell.. the testosteron flying around.. pumped bodies.. smiles and grimaces as people push themselves that little bit further.. I almost passed by my girlfriend as I stormed off to the gym.. stopping for a welcome home kiss and a hug.. gym here I come.. I get one workout.. day one of max ot.. then I get half off day two..I cant go on.. dam flu and cough has me knocked for six all week.. I sit or ly on the couch all day depressed and eating shite to stop the boredom.. now I plod around the house with a stomach not only bloated but with a few extra pounds.. god I hate the flu.. god I miss the gym…

Hi all, just back from one month military training in Sweden, unfortunately my workouts suffered due to military commitments. We joined up with forces from Sweden, Finland, Norway and the Ukraine to number approx 2800 troops. From day one it was a very well organised and proffesionaly ran exercise. We participated in so many different military scenarios testing our training to the limits and got the added experience of working with different nationalities and their tactics and equipment. The highlight of the trip was the two weeks spent north of the arctic circle with temperatures of -30! I also got to complete a survival course and cold weather training ran by the experienced Swede troops. Without going into much military detail we simulated a force moving into a country in need of humanitarian and military assistance. Apart from that we had some down time and got to have a few beers and mix with the other soldiers. it was a fantastic experience and one I will never forget. I have to say the Swede’s were so friendly and helpful as well as being very good professional soldiers. Only bad point is I havent seen a gym in nearly five weeks so there is a lot of catching up to do!! I will have photos on my profile page soon so keep an eye open. Lastly.. respect to you all serving all over this world.. keep safe.. Dave

Ok… silly question from a guy who is a personal trainer… and military fitness instructor…. why cant I sort out my own diet????? I cant seem to gain muscle mass.. I cant seem to lose that bit extra thats hiding my abs… I think its better to look for advice and info than to just wander along blindly… every day and every week I seem to change my eating habits with no success.. Im hoping you guys can give me some help and maybe even a diet plan to get me on the right track… every day is a school day!! and I love to keep learning!! tanx Dave
