Tricep pushdowns and testosterone levels…
Tuesday, May 5th, 2009Why are tricep pushdowns with a rope attachment so much more difficult that other tricep exercises? At least, it feels much more difficult. When I’m pushing down, at the very end, I turn my wrists down and out to get a full extension. Feels good on the first set, but on the 2nd and 3rd, I just tottally drop out and I’m don’t feel like I’m making gains. Don’t get me wrong - after yesterday’s session my tris feel fuller, but I just can’t seem to go up in weight. I’m considering swiching to a new tri exercise, but I’m not sure…
Another thing…it seems the weights at my gym aren’t even consistent. I initially did the tricep pushdown using the cable that can go up and down - you know, the one that you can use chest crossovers for. It has a twin on the other side…. Anyways, that seemed light for the usual weight I put on it, so I went back to my usual place - where there’s a little pad for your back and it’s actually made for tricep pushdowns, and that one was SO much harder. Confusing…
On a happy note, there is room in my pants…and my legs actually look skinnier, not that anyone can tell from my posted pictures…
Oh…one more thing. Last week I also noted that I was breaking out in zits on my forehead. What am I? A teenager again? Weird. I was wondering if my testosterone levels were possibly going back up to where they should be - from working out - as I’ve read that lifting weights can return them to normal if they are lowered. The would be lower from years of inhealthy self abuse to my body. (I have other reasons for thinking this, but as this is a public blog, I won’t get into it - I think you now know what I mean). Anyways, I gotta go get me some OxyClean before the prom on Friday. Got a hot date with Suze Q. We may end up going steady after that. I might even give her my class ring, but first I gotta convnice dad to let me borrow the car so I can take her to the lookout and give it to her there. So magical… Oh!…there’s the bell…off to glee club!
