			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well we ran our race on Sunday in Philly on Broad St&#8230;woo hoo! It was a very rainy weekend&#8230;though were lucky during the race as it sprinkled. When we crossed the finish line and were just about to pick up a bottle of water..it started to really pour out! We were lucky&#8230;finished in 1 hour and 26 minutes and 47 seconds! My goal was to do it under 1 hour and 30, so am very happy. I started the first few miles a little faster than I should have..and by mile 7 was starting to feel it. Will work on pacing myself better in the beginning and then picking it up as the miles go on. Looking forward to a fun summer, and kicking it off a little early with a 4 day/5night stay in VEGAS. We fly out Saturday..never been..meeting two other couples there so we are in for some good times.</p>
<p>As far as training&#8230;plan to maintain my current fitness level and running &#8230;planning to run another 1/2 marathon this Fall.</p>

Had been a while since I&#8217;ve been to this particular gym and found it quite motivating. Always nice to switch things up. My boyfriend is running the 10mile race with me..which will be quite fun. He&#8217;s not a long distance runner&#8230;he&#8217;s a Rugby player&#8230;but we both figured it would be motivating to train for something together and get ready/inshape for our Vegas trip and summer <img src='http://blog.bodybuilding.com/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> . It&#8217;s interesting..because I think we will be quite competitive with each other (when I tell him I ran 6.5&#8230;he ran 7)&#8230;.:)&#8230;very motivating!</p>
<p>I&#8217;m in San Fran this week&#8230;got up this AM at 3am EST&#8230;landed in San Fran about 10am &#8230;.hoping after my last appointment I have enough energy to get in a workout&#8230;I just picked up a 5 hour energy and a sugar free red bull..hoping that will help <img src='http://blog.bodybuilding.com/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> ! I&#8217;m here till Thursday&#8230;.plan to log some miles on the hotel treadmill and lift some weights in their gym&#8230;keep training hard!

This week I was able to get in a 3 mile run, a 4.5 mile run and plan on one more tomorrow and on Saturday hopefully a run outside (weather is suppose to be in the 70&#8217;s..so excited for warm weather). 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s been a while since I posted&#8230;need to get better about that <img src='http://blog.bodybuilding.com/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> . Had an amazing time over the Holidays and rang in the New Year appropriately. Was also able to give my body some much needed rest and am ready to hit it hard in the gym again. Plans for 2009 is to compete in another 1/2 marathon and find new ways to continue to challenge my fitness ability. I&#8217;m looking forward to some upcoming travel and a Fun Vacation trip in late April. Lot&#8217;s of exciting adventures ahead!!

But is was an unbelievable feeling to finish and plan to do another 1/2 somewhere in the future&#8230;late spring&#8230;.early fall time.!   Otherwise..back to training..need to mix things up!!!!!!

I&#8217;m excited&#8230;found out I&#8217;m in the first wave of 1/2 marathoners to head out of the starting gate&#8230;me and 2,500 of my closest friends <img src='http://blog.bodybuilding.com/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> . there are 7500 runners in the race&#8230;..and 3 waves. Looks like high of 72 on Saturday..hope it&#8217;s only in the 60&#8217;s when I start&#8230;and hopefully it won&#8217;t be humid!! Well..I&#8217;m off&#8230;.I&#8217;ll update my blog next week. <p>Other than that..VT football has started. I enjoyed our first home game and tailgating! Next weekend is Georgia Tech and I can&#8217;t wait! Loving that it&#8217;s Football Season..GO HOKIES!!!
