MID JULY UPDATE

Monday, July 14th, 2008

Well am up to 8.5 miles this past Saturday..and boy did my legs feel it…but completed it in 1 hr 14minutes..so, so. So running has been going well..and I have plenty of time. In between things I’ve been traveling..had my best friends wedding up in NH..(i was maid of honor).had an amazing time….then last week I was in Richmond, VA again…this week in the office, up to a conference back in NH next week, then the last week of July I’m in Colorado (one of my favorite places to visit :) )…So training/eating/sleeping and traveling are currently the name of my game. Just wanted to keep you posted..I’ll try and get back here more often.. TRAIN HARD!

Still Running… :)

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

Well it’s been a while. Update..I’m training for the Baltimore 1/2 Marathon in October…it’s a go! Registered today…so I’m committed. Up to 7 miles on a trail outside…this weekend I’m aiming for 7 1/2…!! Shin splints are creeping up here and there, so I’ve been icing them! Training wise, weights are going great…getting some great shape to my biceps and shoulders…and my legs are leaning out nicely!!

Other News:
Just got back from a trip to Phoenix..hot out there this time of year..but had a blast! Won’t travel for a couple weeks, then it’s a weeks vacation to my Best Friends Wedding in New Hampshire! Should be fun. Then for the month of July I’ve got a trip to Richmond, a week at a conference back in New Hampshire, and a week in Colorado….I can’t believe July is so busy! But I will remain faithful to my runs/and workouts….and nutrition!!

Keep training hard!

A week in Richmond

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Well had a great weekend and feel well rested! Kicked off the week with an exhilarating 6 mile run on Sunday! 14 weeks till the 1/2 marathon it looks like…I think me and my friend Jessica look to compete in the VA Beach Rock N Roll Marathon at the end of the summer…if she doesn’t have to be back to classes yet (she’s in Vet School)…but should be a go if that goes through and if we can find a hotel close by. YEAH! Love training toward a goal….up the mileage 1/2-1 mile a week and we should be golden! Hoping to keep the shin splints at bay…keep your fingers crossed for me!Loving the new training split…what a refresher..had been doing pyramids…going up in weight with less reps for building the shoulders/back for so long..it’s really nice to be going lighter ..more sets..and no rest! I am really am enjoying the pace of the workouts. Hotel here is not bad workout wise…they recently added all new cardio equipment and free weights..so should have no problems getting it done! Train Hard!

Memorial Day weekend….summer time!

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Well caught a cold this past week…not fun. but finally after 4 days..feeling much, much better. In time for a long weekend….no big plans on the agenda. Some good workouts, a long run and time with family and friends..and maybe Mr. Indiana Jones..The end of this week has taught me that you never know what life is going to bring you..and that at any moment the unexpected may happen :) . Train hard…

All moved in! Ready to Fly!! :)

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

Well this weekend was the official move in! It’s sorta scary and exciting all at the same time. I now own a 3 bedroom town home..how crazy! Love it though, and little by little I will make it my little home. I just returned from a week in sunny California. Beautiful place with lots of beautiful people. I enjoyed my time there and look to go back that way soon! Till then, I will run, sweat and sculpt this bod..it’s amazing after not competing the last two years..my metabolism is finally back…I’m psyched to see what I can do now!

April Updates…more big changes for Coco

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

Well, still dealing with the fact my father has tongue cancer…they removed the tumor, and also removed 20 lymph nodes..5 were cancerous…He will now undergo 30 days of Radiation, and also Chemo starting in May. He is still in great spirits and feels good.

It’s funny how fast life changes…in the period of a couple weeks, I find myself single after a long-term relationship (it’s for the best and I’m looking foward to the adventures around the corner). I am in the process of buying a townhome..and will close the beginning of May as long as all goes well, inspection, etc. Those are just a couple of the things happening right now….but I am more excited than ever.

I want to do and see so many different things/places! I am looking foward to competing in my first 1/2 marathon the end of the summer. And I am so Thankful for my close girlfriends and family….

Looking foward to a fun adventure!
