Back in the Burg

Well..back in Blacksburg….what an awesome trip to CO..hiked Chitaqua ( I know I spelled that wrong) on Friday before I left and got back home in VA around 9pm…Had a great arm workout Saturday and Ran Sadie, our doberman on Sunday for her 6 mile run….she needed it! Had a decent back workout this morning….beautiful day here..looking to get back to my normal schedule for the week before I travel again next week.

Red Rock & Legs

What a week so far! Been getting the workouts in early am…this morning though I didn’t have a appointment till noon.So got up and headed to the Ballys to workout (the hotel gives us a free pass)..then went to Red Rock and ran the stairs in the ampitheatre…wow! I made it all the way up without stopping..but boy does it take the wind out of you with the elevation factor! But it was amazing! The weather has been spectacular!!! I’m really looking forward to my next couple of days…finishing up with a hike on friday at the Flat Irons in Boulder…my legs are already feeling it from this morning..working out in a different gym always gets me!

Rocky Mountains

I have to say….WOW…Colorado is breathtaking..really..I’ve always wanted to go…and now I am here on business and in just over 24 hours of being here…I am in awe. Incredible weather…incredible views..and everyone I’ve seen is in SHAPE!!!! It’s great. Had an early morning of HIIT on the treadmill at the hotel this morning and did some back. Wasn’t bad…have access to a Ballys and will probably use those facilities over the next couple of days. But want to take time and hike, and get to see some great views and just modify my workouts to the outdoors when I have the time. Anyhow, meeting some clients this evening..so better get prepared!

Frolicking Friday…

Great Shoulder workout this morning. Didn’t have my workout partner there this am…she was traveling with her husband..so it was  hard to get forced reps..instead I went as heavy as I could and did drop sets! The burn is incredible! Getting ready for a Fabulous weekend. Hair/Nails later this afternoon (have to represent :) )..well off to get this day going!

HIIT THURSDAY!!

Only a cardio day…so interval runs..my quads are a bit soar, but wanted to get more sprint intervals in this week…and knowing my legs will probably be worse tomorrow..I chose today! I’m getting very excited about flying out to Colorado this coming week! All my appointments are set, with a little down time to enjoy a hike, and some touristy things! Looks like I"ll be working out at a 24 Hour fitness which should be convenient..at least I don’t have to worry about getting there by any certain time.. :) . I’m just going to bring my supplements and whey protein…go to a grocery store while I’m there and get some tuna,etc..to make it a bit easier.  Most of my meals I’ll be meeting with clients and have found that it’s pretty easy to get what you want …just have to be direct in what you ask for… :) …nothing tastes as good as fit feels..that’s my motto.

Anyhow..enough rambling…need to get a cup of coffee….

Wacky Wednesday

Leg day today! What a great workout this morning..quads were burning! Did some hacksquats (love em) and one other killer was a one leg lunge w/ weights with one foot on bench…feeling those tomorrow! Looks like to be another beautiful day here in VA…my trip to CO looks to be ready to go…yeah!

Tuesday…Chest..switching things up!

Well had a great trip the end of last week traveling for work..I’m preparing again for my next trip…Leave Sunday for Colorado…first time out that way but looking forward to it. Looks like I’ll be working out at a 24hour fitness..have a few close to the hotel..always fun working out at somewhere new…

So this week we hit Back on Monday, Chest on Tuesday, Wednesday Legs, Thursday: Off, Friday: Shoulders, Saturday: Arms, Sunday:Off….so far..my back workout was much better and todays chest workout I felt strong…..
