Thundering Tuesday

Hit Legs this morning..Great workout…dripping sweat after the first Exercise…YEAH! :) . Again, Legs for me is a Love/hate relationship..but you have to do it! I really enjoy hitting them on Tuesday instead of my last schedule where I was doing them on Wednesday…for some reason I like getting them done earlier in the week. Anywho..enough rambling..
Looks to be a bit foggy outside here today….hopefully we will get some rain…we need it! Till next time..

Maniac Monday: chest/HIIT

So it’s Monday and feeling Animalistic from the weekend :) . So had a intense Chest Workout and then blasted a run/spring HIIT session on the treadmill! I love the feeling of tight legs, when you can feel your hamstrings right through the glutes..no jiggle!! Blasting away any junk in the trunk..that’s what I think of when I’m doing the HIIT on the treadmill..finished the last 30seconds w/ a 9.0 speed…Sweat… LOVE IT!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I know I did. Some outdoor work, some lifting and a long run w/ the Dog. Also had a cheat meal this weekend..felt my body staling…so had a burger and felt great afterwards …which is a good sign for me..I know my calories/carbs have been low for a while, so if I can have a greasy burger and feel good afterwards..well then I must of needed that…sounds strange I know. But it should shock my metabolism, it has worked in the past..so we’ll see!

I also travel this week for work. Thursday looks to be the most trying w/ 5 appointments scheduled…we shall see! I will plan ahead and conquer :) !

FRIDAY….HIIT CARDIO & Shoulders

Hiit cardio is definately a Hate/Love relationship. I really dread starting HIIT Cardio…but got on the treadmill and warmed up for 5 minutes and then did a run pace of 6.6 for 2min/  and a sprint pace of 8.0 for 1min..alternating back and forth for about 25minutes…In the middle of it when sweat is dripping down my forehead into my brows I LOVE IT! I know I’m working hard and not wasting muscle! Had a good shoulder workout right before hitting shoulders..hard and heavy! Grow shoulders grow! :) Looking forward to a Back workout tomorrow morning! Have a great Friday :) !

Wednesday….almost Friday?

Middle of the week..it’s Wednesday..Hump Day… Yeah! Almost to Friday…Had a good arm workout this am…tomorrow is a scheduled day off before hitting shoulders Friday and Back on Saturday. I’m looking forward to sleeping in till at least 5am tomorrow.. sad that’s sleeping in..but gotta get it done. When I wake up in the morning and feel sluggish, I think of my competition..where are they..are they already training? I just get it done! Once you get up..don’t hit snooze, just get up…thats the ticket…think about it..why do you hit snooze 5 times? Just hit it once and get the REM sleep till the last possible minute ….that’s what I do. :)

Monday begins the battle

The battle of Chest :) . I had a great workout at 5am this morning…Felt strong and had lots of energy..should be soar tomorrow! Love that feeling! Looking forward to hitting the trails after work w/ the dog…she really loves the Fall like weather and so do I!

Weekend…..is it Sunday already?

Well had a great Saturday Back Workout yesterday..and then watched some afternoon college football…though wasn’t able to watch the Hokies as they were not broadcast. Anyhow..it’s Sunday..got up at the crack of dawn and Ran the dobie (sadie) on the trail this AM for a 6mile Run..felt Great….going to do some grocery shopping and prepare for the week ahead…and also some outdoor work…. get outside and enjoy the weather!! :)

TGIF

Glad it’s Friday..seems like my cold is passing…laid on the couch yesterday afternoon w/ the dog and relaxed…Chills are gone…a good sign!! Got to bed early so I could get up at 4am…had a decent arm workout..could have been better, but still feeling that tired/wore feeling you get when your sick..have a Back/Traps/Reardelt workout planned for tommorrow AM…Usually a girls night out tonight..but with just being sick, I’m going to spend the evening relaxing at home :) .

Off Day….Cold??

So yesterday afternoon, started getting the chills, slight fever, scratch in throat…a Cold?? What is this?? Can’t have it..so fought it off w/ some Vitamin C..and Day Quill….well masked it over night anyhow..still felt it early this AM..but figured I would try and sweat it out on the treadmill …it’s my cardio day….I still feel I’m fighting it…Dayquil does wonders!! I’m thinking I might just work 1/2 day..we shall see!

BOLDER SHOULDERS & HIIT

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

So today was shoulders! I love this bodypart, one of my most favorite to lift! I really love the burn I get..we did some smith machine upright rows this morning & Smith Machine Military Presses w/ a drop set…Lateral raises/front raises and Hammer Strength Over head presses to finish it off! I can feel them growing :) . Then I hit the treadmill for some intense Run/Sprint Intervals..5 minute 6.6 run..then 8.0 1min. to 6.6 2minutes back and forth for 25 minutes! I was dripping w/ sweat but feeling so gooooddddd!!!!!!!!!

PS. I’m still have not touched a lick of the deadly Peanut Butter :) . YEAH!!

Lucky Legs Tuesday

Yes..my lucky legs got beaten this AM during my 5:30am workout! Love it! Legs are definately a love/hate relationship for me! But had a great workout…those walking lunges (100 total for each leg) kicked my backside! Other than the excitement of leg day, nutrition is right on! I love getting up early to workout ..I just think it sets the right tone for my day!
