Manic monday

It’s monday.  I haven’t worked out since Friday (planned), and I’m itching to get workout this afternoon.  I’m down to the final 2 weeks of this HST workout i’ve been on.  I can honestly say, i’ve seen some great strength gains and my chest and shoulders have developed some. 

I Really REALLY REALLY need to dial in my diet though.  I have two planned cheat meals/week but somehow eating on the run or eating out with friends sneak their way in!  And i end up with a not so great meal.  So i went grocery shopping yesterday:  Fiber bread, bananas, natty peanut butter, turkey sausage, eggs, brocolli, yogurt, chicken breast, brown rice.

If i really focus these last two weeks of my HST and get great results.  I might be brave enough to actually post some progress pics on here!  =)

I have about 2.5 weeks left of this workout and i really like it.  I like to full body splits because it forces me to go to the gym and not slack because I have scheduled active rest days as well.  I need to do some measurements to see some results.  I definitely got more strength and we’ll see what the tape measure says.

Ran into a friend of a friend of mine yesterday after doing my HST workout and convince me and my other friend and workout buddy(her mutual friend) to do a kickboxing/combat class.  So i was like f*** it!  Let’s go!  I chugged my protein shake and did an hour of the class.  Needless to say, I sweated buckets and i’m pretty sore this morning.  I really got into it especially the boxing combinations with kicks!  LOL  So i guess this will be my Wednesday routine.  Wednesdays are my refeed days anyway, so i’ll have energy to do back to back muscles. 

Once i finish this HST, i think i’m going to go on traditional 4-day split and dedicate Wednesdays to this class!

Day 1 of Week 5&6 of HST

So this is Day One of Full body exercises involving typically 2 sets of 5.  I haven’t done such a low rep range before and it’s great to shock my body.  I’ve never lifted this heavy before and I was a little apprehensive, so of course i tried to schedule day one with my workout bro.  It helped to at least have a person with me to see how heavy i can push myself.  It felt great!  I feel like a beast pushing those weights even though it’s only 5 sets, there’s something about knowing you’re increasing the number of plates you add to the bar!

I’m still taking the white flood pre-workout and sip on the purple wraath during workout.  And then after i chug the whey.  This seems to be working out pretty well for me.  I’ve had incredible energy with the white flood and i like the tingling of the purple wraath. 

I just need to dial in that diet a little tighter and BOOYAH!  It’s ON!

First workout with Purple and White

So it’s raining again in the Sunshine State… but i had an incredible workout!  I don’t know if it was a placebo affect, but this is also my first workout with the Controlled Labs stack of white flood and purple wraath.  Took the white flood 30 mins before workout and sipped on the purple wraath throughout my workout.  The purple takes getting used to, make sure to add a lot of water!  Call me weird, but i like the tingling sensation that the beta alanine does for me!  I feel like there’s electricity through my veins!

My lifts were heavy sets of 10 (see the workout tracker).  Had a ton of personal bests and i had energy like whoa!  I can’t weight for my next workout!  Imma try and go even heavier.  I need my buddy, a non-reliable workout partner to show up on Wednesday, so he can spot me!  I think with this HST workout and my new supps, imma get some major gains!  WHOOoooO!
