Ok after spending a week with my son in the Montreal hospital and getting back for Christmas I put on more weight than I wanted. Than I just found out yesterday about the 2009 Muscle Tech Transformation contest, and thought thats just what I need. Like when I used to fight, when I got a big goal to follow I push my self to the limit. Even If I dont come close to winning It will still be fun seeing the changes in my body.
Its going to be difficult for two reasons though. Being a type 1 diabetic means if my blood is low I need carbs. So I realy got to manage and watch that. Plus I’m waiting for the Doc to call, because I need surgery to my right wrist. I cant left for one month with that hand after so I’ll work hard at legs, abs, cardio, and getting my left arm the same size. lol thers 3/4inch differense from swinging hammers all day with the right.
With the odds againts me I still feel I have a chance. So wish me luck, any compliments or advice is welcome.

First I want to wish everyone a happy new years. My night was a fun one with friends and family and a lot to drink. Than we decided to go to another party but our cab took us to the wrong place. Just me, my nephew and his cousin are alone woundering where everyone is so we go to the door. And 30 people come running out fighting, thinking we are involved they turn to us. Well me and my nephew came out unscratched, his cousin was a little banged up but not to bad. I was just trying to throw people off and stop it, but ended up dropping 5 dudes. Its good to know that I still got it because I havnt trained or had a fight in mma for a year.
Well now that thats over its time to get serious again, lifting heavy and eatting good.

Well I ‘m back from Montreal and my sons heart surgery was perfect. Three days after the sugery he was already dancing for the nurses. So I havn’t excersized in almost two weeks. Plus the food I ate probably wasn’t very good for me. I dont realy want to step on a scale as I can see the pounds every time I look at my stomic. Well now that my sons ok I want to wish everyone a merry Christmas. And than back to the weights, hardcore.

Well I finally got the call from Montreal. So next week I’ll be taking my son to Montreal for hopefully his last heart surgery. I’m so happy as we have been waiting to long. A little sad he will be hooked up to all kinds of machines and I will not be seeing my other son for Christmas. But it has to happen.
Also I will not have any suppliments or lifting weights for the 2 weeks. But maybe that will help, taking a break. Well when not at the hospital I’ll still do cardio but thats about it.
I would like to thank everyone that said a prayer for us. And I’m sorry if I cant get back to everyone till I get back in 2 weeks.

Its hard bodybuilding and being a diabetic at the same time. One who has had high blood sugar most of his life is even harder. And when your creatinine levels are realy high its even worse. Your muscles are dyhydrated so they have trouble growing and you cant take creatine. Plus fat is sooo easy to put on. So the weekend was me just tring to get back on track. The worst thing is cutting back on meat that contains creatine, especially when my wife works at a butchershop and gets all beef and pork for free.
Today I’m feeling better so I’ll probably have to do chest and back, without creatine. boooo. lol. And the next time I lift arms I gotta start doing more with my left. Its almost a inch smaller than my right. Because I do construction, and I can only swing hammers and finish with my good hand. Yes, its noticable. My abs are trying to hide too. But I think when my diabetes is under controle things will get better.

Well I wrote a post yesterday, seen it on the home page, and now cant find it in my post, Weird. I love my new home gym. This morning I did legs and shoulders, than this afternoon did chest and back. I didnt have to wait in line for nothing. lol.
But like I said in the lost post I cant find. If anyone knows of any BB shows around Manitoba I would really appreciate you contacting me. Its just to watch, I’m nowhere near the size I want to be yet. I’ve never been to a show so I wanted to check one out just in case one day, weel we’ll see. I’ve never considered doing a show but the more I lift and the more I go on BB.com the more interested I become.
I know I need lots of work so feel free to point out any tips or anything you see I need most work on. Its ok, I can take it. lol.

Well I started going to the gym again after the Dr. told me I got really bad pinched nerves in both my wrist. So now I’m lifting like crazy because after the surgery I cant for awhile. Plus I had to step out of my fight for next month. I cant remember the last time I went that long without lifting. Dam, thats going to suck. lol. But it should be all good and worth it in the end.
My first few days at the gym I noticed I can lift way more at pritty much everything than the last time I went. But it takes me half an hour to drive to the gym so I’m thinking of buying another home gym so I can just stay home where its nice and warm and can lift with my son.

Well My oponent is picked for my fight, and we have danced once before. I was out for a second in the fight by a high kick and I came back to knock him ou by high kick. Did I mention he is 6′5" at 170lbs. I’ve worked realy hard, and I think I feel I’m as big as I can be and still be under 170lbs. Plus for the first time tonight I was on the eleptical for 40 some minutes, and my cardio is my biggest enemy. So I’m pritty happy with that. My hands arnt doing very good though, so my plan is to take him down and submit him as fast as I can. Well anyway I’ll be sure to post pictres. I just hope they catch me throwing a flying knee our something.
I think I may have to start going to a weight gym again because I’m lifting the weights at home and with all my weights I’m doing to many reps. Cant realy complain about that. lol. but realy I need some heavier iron. On the plus my oldest son has been interested in lifting and exercising with me. And my other son has a dr. apointment son so I’ll finally know when his next open heart surgery is.

Well now that my arms are growing I dont know about making my goals. I went down to my old boxing gym to get tickets to a fight and I was told If I get back in fight shape they want me to fight main event sometime this fall or winter. Its very hard to put on mass when your doing the crazy cardio that you need to fight. My arms have one more inch to go by Nov.17. It will be hard but I think I can do it.
First I got to get over a few things. Last fight wasn’t as impressive as my others so I’ll have to get my confidence back up, and give my best for my home town. Plus I hope my hands hold up. Well I’ll try and keep posting my progress. Realy excited right now.
