I have my first photo shoot coming up, so I’m trying to get my ass in gear! Really trying to lean out and make those muscles pop! Hopefully I can get a decent portfolio going and try for some modeling gigs! If anybody out there has any tips or suggestions please feel free to let me know! Or if there’s any photographers out there that feel like doing a shoot, drop me a line!
Cheers

Title pretty much says it all Thanks to Dana White who posted his 6:26 mile that made me think ‘damn…I can beat that!’

Just finishing up 3 weeks off of supplements…I’ve changed up my lifting routine as well…going with higher reps (10-12) and less rest in between sets, also using perfect form and really squeezing at the top of the contraction, just to change things up and confuse the muscles…I’ve also incorporated different variations of exercises from watching some of Charles Glass’ videos on bodybuilding.com (highly recommended)…the guy is a genius…just the way he tweaks exercises in such a way to hit a certain muscle a specific way…really good for isolation movements http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/glasscut0.htm
Starting this Monday I will be trying out Gaspari’s Plasmajet and with that SizeOn as well…probably going to go back to heavy compound lifts as well to gain strength and muscle. I’m also thinking about taking Scivation’s Extend for the BCAA’s and glutamine…sounds like a good stack to me…I may try a fat burner after this cycle to shed some more bodyfat…I’m hoping that switching up my routine and supplements will help stimulate new muscle growth, as in the past I had a tendency to stick with the same routine and supplements for too long, and then reaching a plateau, getting frustrated and ultimately taking a long break from the gym….and I find when I’m not working out, the diet also suffers…so from now on I am learning from my mistakes, keeping things fresh and making this a part of my lifestyle every single day.

Hey all…just thought I’d check in…so I’ve been going pretty steady here for the past few weeks…been training 5-6 days a week with weights and cardio each day…meals have been very strict as well…I’ve been keeping track of everything I eat which has totally helped in making me feel accountable for everything…I highly recommend it! I actually just ordered a food scale too so I can start keeping track of total calories, protein, carbs, fats, etc. I’ve never actually done that before so I’m interested in what my numbers are. I’m not exactly sure what to shoot for, but I’m thinking 3000-3500 cals, 250-275g’s protein, 300-350g’s carbs and 50-75g’s fat?? If anyone has any better ideas let me know
Overall I’m pretty happy with the way things have been progressing….I mainly attribute it to diet, which I’ve never been so strict with, and doing cardio consistently for the first time in my life (my super fast metabolism isn’t so fast any more I haven’t weighed myself or taken measurements in a while, but goin by how I look in the mirror and how I feel, I’d say there’s been some progress…because that’s what matters right? The scale can be a downer sometimes, especially if you’re on it all the time…so I decided to take a break from it…but I’ll be back with some numbers soon…I think I’m just too hard on myself sometimes…I want it all and I want it all NOW!!! Like I want my ripped abs back, ripped everywhere actually, but I want more overall muscle mass too…so it’s like if I progress in one area I still get down if there’s no progression in the other…know what I mean? Anyway I figure I will try and stay lean while lifting heavy for the summer, and then may go on a bulk/cut after that…if I do end up gaining muscle and losing bodyfat this summer I may end up hiring a trainer/nutritionist to help me prepare for a natural show…we’ll see

Okay so I just got back from the first workout since my time off with the new baby…11 days off in total…not too bad…I might even have needed it considering I’ve been going to the gym 5 days a week for 2 1/2 hours a day.
I felt pretty good…I think it felt like a longer layoff than it actually was…but now I hope to get back on the program of eating clean, upping cardio and liftin heavy weights…gotta get that bodyfat DOWN lol
Gonna finish my BSN stack (NO-Xplode, Cell Mass, Nitrix) and then might try Gaspari’s Plasmajet…I’ve heard good things…anyone else recommend any other supps besides what I’m already taking? (protein, multi’s too)
I’ll post some new pics soon…I was going to post some a few weeks ago as I was feelin pretty good, but, like I said, been busy lol
Laterz

Ok…one week later…I’m due for my 2 week body composition on Monday (weight, bf %, measurements, etc.) so I’m looking forward to seeing the results…the last 2 weeks I didn’t see the results I had been getting since starting…but it’s been a week now on the BSN stack and I’m feeling pretty good…I’ve been upping the cardio from about 25 mins to 32 and also upping the intensity…NO-Xplode probably has something to do with that…but I’m also feeling like I’m looking better in the mirror…gotta post some updated pics, let me know if you think so too …should have em up by early next week…Diet is going good…trying to keep the carbs lower at night and eat every 2-3 hours. I’m also thinking of switching up my workout program…maybe doing cardio after weights instead of before…but it’s worked well doing it before, so I’m kind of wary to fix something that’s not broken…but maybe more for a shock to the body…I can always go back, right? Anyway, should get going…gotta get some sleep…I’ll post after I get the results of my Body Comp on Monday.
Cheers

Ok first entry …been training seriously now since end of January…so almost 2 months…bodyfat has went from 17.4 to 14.5…so I’m on the right track…except I’ve been stuck at around 14 for a few weeks now….need that number to keep moving down!! Goal is to be below 10% by June 21st, and then long term goal is to hit 6%, all while adding quality muscle. I used to be all about gaining size, because of my fast metabolism, but now I’m focusing more on getting cut! I love lifting heavy, but now I’m realizing that diet is a HUGE part of it, and cardio is important for cutting bodyfat…a problem I never had before (used to be 7.5% about 6 years ago, but only weighed about 175)…Monday I start a BSN cycle of NO-Xplode, Cell Mass and Nitrix…never taken them before, but hopefully it will aid in the muscle gains and fat loss! Just a question though…it says to take NO-Xplode 30 - 45 mins before workout on an empty stomach, but I do about 30 mins of cardio before I weight train…so should I take it 30-45 mins before my cardio or before my weights? Any suggestions would be appreciated and anyone who has taken this stuff before let me know how/if it works! I’m not a big caffeine drinker (no coffee or soda) so I’m wondering if I should start slow with the NO-Xplode…creatine I’ve taken before, so Cell Mass shouldn’t be a problem…anyways I’ll see how it goes…the path to achieve a goal isn’t always easy, but it is very rewarding in the end!
