Paleo

So, I am sure my Crossfit friends on here have heard of this style of eating, however I am not sure if many other people are. Basically it is eating only meat, vegetables, fruits, and nuts. At this time I haven’t tried it, but some of the guys and girls at my gym are doing it and they say they have never felt better! It is a simple concept, eat what our ancestors ate before food processing and before the discovery of grains. I think it is important to know that carbs are still important, however they should come from other resources…. Let  me know your thoughts on this as I am thinking about trying it out.

Interesting…will have to do a little research on this. Sounds good to me though.

I’ve been about 95% paleo for the last year. The other 5 percent is whey, bars, and wine. I mostly started paleo because I have been doing CrossFit for 3 years and that’s what they advocate. Within the last year since going paleo I have seen the biggest gains in Athletic Performance. Best of luck.

Do you get enough carbs this way?

Well as it goes, before we evolved to eating grain products for breakfast lunch and dinner, we ate this way, are bodies adapted to it, and back then we were very fit and had little disease. So by that logic our bodies work the best on this type of diet, there are plenty of carbs in different fruits and vegetables, so you should be able to get plenty of carbs without the grains.
