Back to it

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

I got back to the gym yesterday, and had a good hard workout. My Pericarditis didn’t bother me at all. It has subsided a lot and I am almost back to 100%. Today I am only doing cardio and I hope the old ticker can hold up for me… I need to get back on track as I was doing pretty good for a while now my goal for the rest of this month is to get down to 240 lbs If I work hard is attainable. Hope I can make it.

Pericarditis

Friday, September 19th, 2008

I have something called Pericarditis which is an inflammation of the heart sac. This puts pressure on my heart and lungs. It is very painful, and it is recurrent, I usually catch it in time and take Advil to bring down the inflammation. This time I let it get bad and it has put me out of commission for two weeks. I am hoping by next Monday I can get back in the gym but, with this problem if I workout it increases my heart rate and causes the inflammation to get worse . I can’t hurry this along. The one thing that bothers me about this, is in comes on strong within a few days and I can’t see my cardiologist  until December… I am better off treating it myself. If anyone else has this problem and you need to talk to someone about it. I have learned a lot about it over the last four years.

Cheers,

Cam

New Gym

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

I finally have found the time to try out the fitness center in my new condo. It isn’t perfect but it works as what I need it to be. It is like having all you fitness equipment in you house, except it is in a gym like facility, to give that gym feeling. So now if I don’t feel like going to my gym I can go to the fitness center down stairs. I feel great, it was my first workout since the move, it was a good stress reliever. Now that the move is done I can spend more time getting fit. I still have a lot to go but I am moving in the right direction. One problem I am having, that I hope getting back in the gym will help is that I am not sleeping very good.
