This might be a silly question, but what part of you is in a cast, and what kind of injury is it? Let me know, and I'll be happy to recommend some exercises you can still do safely.

Diet is definitely important during an injury period. You don't want to end up having to make up for a lot of lost time because of weight gain. Also, if you are in a cast for a broken bone, make sure you are getting plenty of calcium.

Dont look at yesterday, just think about today and tomorrow. Yesterday is already gone and there in nothing you can do about it. My trainer says all the time...instead of feeling dissapointed do something about it. If it was easy everyone would be on stage, dont you agree?

I completely understand what you mean! Sorry, I know it's random, but I can tell you, you're not alone. Every day is a constant battle about food. I have the workout routine down, and cardio is all set. I weight train 5 days a week and can feel muscle I'm building, but the eating.... man, its tough!! Atleast it's nice to know I'm not alone in the battle... having to adjust and reprogram the mind about food is sooo hard. Some days I eat so well and then others I just crash... its difficult when its all you can think about. And I feel horrible if I don't do well and I'm hard on myself... sometimes I just want to quit but I don't want to go back to fatness lol

I guess we just have to keep picking ourselves up and try to keep the positive attitude that tomorrow will be a better day and go from there.... don't give up because in the end, deep down you know it's worth it, otherwise you wouldn't have tried in the first place. Truly failing is never getting back up.... goodluck with everything... and always know there are people who understand... you're not alone.

"Ugh! I just need a workout fairy and a nutrition fairy." Hon, this is for you and all about it, it has to come from you. Your health is you. It defines you, it "is" you. Get a short plan together and stick to it. Begin to build your Rome. Its not done in a day. Put on your shark fin and get down to bidness. Its not about luck or fairies. Its work.

Good luck on the rehab, I'm not sure on this but what about roller blades? Also check craigs list for workout stuff if the garage sales aren't working out.

Well I don't know how much plan on spending. But for now it seems like all you will need is 40lb db set;20 lbs each and adjustable. In stores it is usually $40 but you may can find them at a garage sale.
