2009 season is fast approaching…

Friday, November 28th, 2008

I’ve been checking daily for the calendar of npc shows next year but I have yet to find it anywhere.  It doesn’t matter really, since I have already decided what shows I’m doing.  Drum roll please……….

I’m going to start with the SHANNON DEY show as a warm up to see where I am with my routine.  Then I’m going to JR USA’s or JR NATIONALS (whichever my school schedule allows for).  Finally, I’m going back to Vegas for women’s tri-fitness to crack into the top 20 of grace and physique so that I can hopefully win the overall title.

Now obviously the goal for next year is to win my pro card (I mean I took this ENTIRE year off to focus on getting in shape) so here’s the tentative game plan:

December: Strength and conditioning - 4 days of HEAVY lifting, 3 days of cardio

January: Strength and routine choreography - 5 days of HEAVY lifting, 3 days of routine and sprint training (no cardio)

February: Power and routine - 4 days of explosive lifting/plyometrics, 3 days of routine and sprint training, 2 days of cardio

March: Power/Metabolic and routine - 1 days explosive lifting, 2 days metabolic lifting, 4 days routine and sprint training, 3 days cardio

From april to show time will depend on when exactly my shows fall and what condition I’m in… I would like to pick up sprint training and keep my lifting down to 3 days but how much cardio and whether its power or metabolic will depend on what I look like.  I took my "before" picture this morning so I can track how my body changes as I prepare to step on that national stage again next year.  I will NOT accept less than a top 3 finish next year! Stay tuned
