my boobs have left the building…

when i woke up this morning, they were noticeably smaller (along with the rest of me).  This made me both happy and sad at the same time.  I’m getting really lean (and I should! I’m pretty much working out and eating fish all day everyday! lol)… I’m whaaay to tired to much thought into this blog so… I did cardio, lifted weights, still have routine practice and more cardio to go today when I get off work.  Until next time….

14 days unitl weigh in!!!

can you say CARDIO?! i’m up to 45min in the morning and at night (which i just started yesterday) and i can see it.  I’m so happy i’m not in school right now because my brain capacity is pathetic lol…. I’m really looking forward to this show but at the same time, I’m still having fun.  I spent the weekend in Atlanta for greek picnic - I packed my meals and didn’t drink but i did miss 3 cardio sessions and I did not lift a single weight.  I have about 12 more days of training before I stop and rest up for the show.  Hopefully I can lose about 4.5 more pounds during that time.  I think I LOOK great so I’m really not trying to lose weight for that, but the more I lose the less I have to lift for bench press!  Right now I would have to bench 65lbs (which would be ok) but if I can get to only do 60lbs, its a wrap!

 

P.S. I also think its funny how competitors are talking noise about how they gone beat me.  I feel honored that you think highly enough of me to talk about me. lol

in the words of Plies, "I don’t feel right/ain’t got enough haters/ Somebody send me some/so I can aggravate them!"  lol

24 days until weigh in…

And the madness is officially here :-) …2-a-day cardio (30min each) in addition to my workouts is now the official regimen.  I was doing plenty of cardio previously just not consistently (i might do 25min one day, 70 the next, etc)…  I finally finished choreographing my routine this past friday (today being Monday) but I have yet to be able to perform it in its entirety (you would think i haven’t been working out) so needless to say that will be my focus from here on out.  I’m very happy with my performances as far as the fitness skill and obstacle course portions of the show are concerned so I’m just looking to maintain what I’ve gained from here on it… 24 days til weigh in and 25 til showtime! Watch this!!!!!!

Does anyone have a social life when doing contest prep??!!

I haven’t got into serious dieting yet but at this point with the amount of training i’m doing I’m WAY to exhausted to do much of anything.  I feel like I’m neglecting people that don’t workout with me :-( …I had the opportunity to drive over to Orlando to go to Universal studios with Bro Fine as Possible (for free!) and didn’t go because I could not figure out what I would do about my meals and didn’t want to be too drained for my workout tomorrow.  Like I truly feel like i’m my own little island around showtime.  This kinda stinks…

About my diet…

A lot of people ask me what I’m eating to get ready for this show.  I’m not "restricting" calories and counting carbs/fat/protein until the last 14-21 days before the show (i’m 31 days away now).  Right now my meals look like this:

meal 1: 2-4 egg whites (with tomato and bell pepper)/ .25-.5 c oatmeal

meal 2: .5 c rice or .5 sweet potato/ 3-5 ounces tilapia or chicken

meal 3: tilapia or tuna, spinach, veggies, salad spritzer

meal 4: 3-4 oz. chicken, spinach, tomato, spicy mayo or salsa, whole wheat tortilla wrap or ezekial bread

meal 5: protein shake or 3-4 oz chicken with apple

…sometimes the order changes a little depending on what time of day i workout and sometimes i will add an extra shake or chicken/apple but this is about it….

Healthy and Injury-free! workout video coming soon…

My last post was immediately after having strep throat.  Since then I have been back to training as usual.  I haven’t been doing as much cardio as i prob need to be doing but after teaching group fitness classes I tend to justify to myself that they count as cardio for me.  I will do better.  Anyway, contest prep (34 days and counting!!!) is going great! The number on the scale won’t move but i’m getting very lean (like i can’t stop looking at myself naked lol).  My body apparently likes to be 113-116lbs.  I want to be about 107 onstage (and 104 for weigh in the day before) but I’m actually really happy with the way my body looks right now (i know, i should post pics, but i don’t have a camera :-( )…

 

I have about 40 more seconds left to choreograph for my new routine and its looking great.  I will be posting videos the end of next week from last year’s routine as well as my SPARQ training workout (which by the way is a beast!!!).  Stay tuned!!!
