Amercian Gladiators is the business!

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

I liked it when I was young and I love it now.  The fact that I know some of the contenders and I know who the gladiators are is amazing.  Another avenue to look into in my fitness career.  How cool would it be if on your business card, your job title read "american gladiator"???!!! I was watching last night thinking, I could do that! Made me want to go back to the gym :-)

Update:  My knee isn’t bothering me as much but I’m still not 100%.  I got an MRI yesterday and I’m going back to the doctor tomorrow.

I’ve lost 4lbs since the start of the new year and I haven’t even start working out like I want to!  I’m not so much watching what I eat (i.e. measuring and macronutrient ratios) as I’m reducing portion sizes and making sure I get enough protein.  My theory is that I will get as lean as possible this way (for the next 5-6weeks) then when I start bringing my diet down to a science it will be a bigger shock to my body so it will respond more.  Also, by me starting leaner when I switch my diet, I figure I will get better results.

Right now I’m working on building strength.  I’m doing strictly meathead workouts for a little while.  I originally planned to wait until February for this type of workout but I was feeling weak when a friend of mine told me his workout and I thought I might not be able to complete it LOL.  Anyway, strength training and I’m practicing strength moves for my new routine.  This one is going to be the best yet.  If you haven’t seen me do my routine before you NEED to make arrangements to be in the building at one of my competitions this year!
