I took the past year off lifting as I struggled to find the time for it due to my studies. I started again a few weeks ago and I’m already making gains. I forgot how much I enjoyed weightlifting!

Well I’ve moved into an apartment in Edinburgh with one of my friends. I’m still looking for a summer job, time’s running out so I’ll have to get a move on. As far as training goes, I was training extremely hard for the few weeks leading up to me moving out the parents’ house but it’s been a little relaxed this past week since I’ve been in Edinburgh. It’s probably because I’m still not settled in properly and it doesn’t help with the apartment being boiling hot! Apart from the heat, the place is good and there’s space for my weights equipment (just!). I haven’t got internet yet so I’m only going to be on here once a week when I’m at my parents’.
Anyway back to training, hopefully this week I’ll get back into the swing of things and sort out the diet again. It’s a little hard getting all your protein when you’re on a tight budget so I may not be getting enough. Either way, I’ll work with what I have and with a bit of luck I’ll still make some gains.

I’ve now finished uni for the summer so I’ve been looking for a job. Last night I was asked to cover for my friend Zander who’s a bouncer at a local heavy metal venue as he was ill. I was told at the end of the night that I’d done a good job and they’d be wanting me back again. Zander said he’s going to train me up to become a fully licensed bouncer so I could work anywhere. Also the money’s very good so thumbs up! This is great motivation to get bigger and stronger; massive gains here we come!!!

Well today is my 20th birthday, the end of my teenage years, the end of an era; but the beginning of a new one. Among other things I’ve decided I’m gonna train harder than ever before and improve my diet. Once I’ve finished uni in a few weeks, I’ll have the whole summer to concentrate on making somre new gains. Feeling motivated!
