I’m having so much fun with this game on my Playstation 2. This is a challenge on the easy setting. I can’t get past one of the bosses in the guitar battle. I know I’m doing something wrong since he always gives me the whammy! I have made it up to the British Tour. Anyone else have this or the other guitar hero games??

I don’t get it. This kid in underwear that has obviously never lifted in his life with a dumb user name and stiking a strange pose. How can he be among the top profiles for the past couple days? Did bb.com do a story on him that I missed? Something seems "wrong".

Memorable moment of the day: Getting home after my workout with my wife running around the house looking for towels, while Tristan cried looking to be fed and dog barking. Our washing machine would not stop filling up with water and it overflowed onto kitchen floor and bathroom floor. Wow! It look us both an hour to clean up the mess and needed our neighbors help to calm Tristan and feed him. Not fun!

Oh no!! My friend is trying to talk me into doing a 10K race next month and a half marathon in November. I’m such a sucker for doing races with friends. The 10K I’ll do since that is such a short distance. The half is another story. I’ll consider it!
Friday August 17
Cardio workout completed: 5 miles on bike at 17 mph after lifting
Strength training workout completed: 2 hours (about 60 sets with little rest) Hilight was Squats. I did a set of 6 at 200 lbs (PB)

Book/magazine read today: I read 50 pages of Harry Potter 7. Only about 50 pages to go!
Video game played today: None
Movie watched today: Pathfinder - This movie had so much potential, but fell short. I give it a C.
Memorable moment of the day: I saw a couple members of my Mudrun Team at the gym and mentioned I still have poison ivy. They laughed and said they too have it. One of the volunteers at the sandbag station has it as well, so we are thinking the oil was on the sandbags. Oh how funny! Now I need to e-mail more people I know to see if they have it.

Book/magazine read today: Harry Potter 7. I got through 80 pages. Only about 100 more pages until the end! I also read about 15 poems to Noah in the book "Where the Sidewalk Ends" by Shel Silverstein
Video game played today: None
Movie watched today: The Zodiac - normally I don’t like movies like this, however since it was based on a true story and had a stellar cast, I gave it a go. Movie was great! Donovan’s song "Hurdy Gurdy Man" was featured and I now really like that song!
Memorable moment of the day: Me walking around with a hose after work trying to keep trees, shrubs and vegy garden alive in this severe heat. It hasn’t rained in over 2 weeks and temps have been in the high 90’s - low 100’s most of those days! Everything is looking SAD.

Book/magazine read today: Harry Potter 7. I’m about 525 pages into the story. I also read 20 pages of Shel Silverstein’s “Where the Sidewalk Ends” to Noah before bedtime. Shel was a genius
Video game played today: none - but I’m thinking of giving “NFL Head Coach” for the PS2 a try.
Movie watched today: Reno 911 Miami. The movie was funny at times. It was a “different kind of” comedy. I give it a B-
Memorable moment of the day: Playing “Crazy 8’s” with Noah and I got 4 Crazy 8’s in the opening deal (Why couldn’t this happen in Vegas playing poker??) I couldn’t beat him like that, so I picked up cards and while he wasn’t looking placed some crazy 8’s back in the deck.

Yes! I do love football. I watched some of the games Friday and Saturday. I’m a big Buffalo Bills fan since I’m from Buffalo. However it is great to watch pretty much any team. With Fantasy Football, it makes things more "personal". I’m debating whether to get Madden 2008 for my Playstation 2. I like the Value of buying Madden 2007 and linking it with NCAA 2007. I did this with the 2005 games. I just wish you wouldn’t need to buy a whole new game with the new players and offseason trades. I would gladly pay $10 just to upload an updated roster. It would be even cooler if the roster is updated weekly based on injuries and suspensions. I’ll bet Madden 2008 still has Vick as a starter for Atlanta. Oh well, I’m rambling. It must be the Benadryl I’m taking.

This would normally be a good thing, but I’m supposed to be in a cutting phase. I have added Amino Acids (never took any AA supps until 2 weeks ago) and added more protein. This is working wonders for recovery and building, BUT I still want to drop weight / bodyfat. I had a bodyfat analysis done and I have added 3 lbs fat and 6 lbs muscle in the past month. My lifting sessions have increased. I attribute it to the supps letting me recover quicker. I’m a runner and I want to get faster, but this extra weight will be a problem. Maybe I should cut more calories. Decision, decisions!
