I’m doing well on my fitness,
down to 181 on my keto diet, anther carb up planned for this weekend.
I am going to try to get to 175 and see where I stand maybe even 170. See how lean I am and then maybe look at a clean bulk.
On another note my lifts are improving, I did 275 on deadlift today. So I am pleased!
the first couple weeks of keto I kind of dragged around a bit but since my last carb up I seem to have pretty good energy now .

I was planning to start my cut on the 31st of december, but my wife tested her blood sugar this morning and it was 185. She was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes earlier this year and did well on her diest and excercise for a while be slacked off around the time I started bulking.
Since she needs to get restarted right away we decided to start our keto plan this morning. I am still holding to my week off of rest until monday, then I hit the weights again and add more cardio.
I tell you what though, this week off of work and off of working out had been great for my level of rest. I feel fully rested for the first time in months.
Between work and the gym and moving from one home to another I think I got exhausted.
I am getting ansy though and am itching to get back into the gym!
I know its just been a few days but I have gotten addicted to the feeling of lifting and to the results that follow.

This is kind of new territory for me.
I have been up to 230 pounds before and always seemed to gain weight easily.
Now I’m at 185 and cant seem to gain weight no matter how many calories I eat. I dont even heve to eat that clean. I do eat more often (6 times per day) and my protien intake is dramatically higher than it used to be. When I was losing weight I had cut my carbs way back to even keto diet levels but now I get 100 grams or more of carbs in a day. Even with all the holiday eating I’m not gaining any weight.
Not that I’m complaining mind you, because I’m slowly gaining in size everywhere but my waist.
I’m just not used to being able to eat everything in sight and not worry about getting fat. This is a pleasant side affect of all this lifting I’m doing.
I’m thinking when I start cutting body fat in February it may be easier than it ever has been if my metabolism is still as cranked as it is now.

looks like the eating season is starting early this year… Still I am laying off of the sugar. A little too much bread "the bad kind not the good whole grain kind" But I am in the second week of a mass building cycle and I am only at 182 pounds. I am getting steadily stronger and bigger. I ordered some ZMA tabs to help with test a little seeing as I am 43. I hope to gain a reasonable amount of muscle by february 1 then try to lose allot of fat.

When I woke up most of the chest and tri workout soreness has faded but the back and bicep workout soreness hasnt kicked in yet.
one odd thing is i stepped on the scales and I was at 180 pounds. down 5 pounds from last week.Mostly water im sure
I’m not sure why im losing though, I am actually eating quite a few calories. doing an aproximately 40/40/20 diet but all the carbs are the good kind.
I dont want to lose too muchweight though unless its fat. Fat can go bye bye and thats ok
Maybe its the lipo6X’s
Having a training partner a few days a week helps more than I imagined it would. You get that little bit of extra oomph and can crank out those reps past failure.
I can feel myself getting stronger.
I think I’ll post some prgress pics soon.

While I’ve not missed any workouts my diet has affected my performance in my workouts. I am back on track with my diet getting a good balance of protien, carbs and fat. I have taken a couple days off on my protien supps but will get back on it tomorrow. A good friend is going to join me in the gym so I will have a regular spotter now!! He came to the gym a couple weeks ago to try it out and I had the best workout. It makes a big difference when you have help to push out those last reps. Since he has been working out longer than I have I can use his experience also which is helpful.
I have decided to pursue a fat loss routine and not get hung up on bulking. Just get stronger and leaner.

My diet has been somewhat crappy lately, lots of business meetings with catered foods which is quite good to eat but isnt as clean as I would like. I’m hoping I can get through this week without gaining a bunch of fat. Fortunately my lifting has been going quite well and I have been making gains in strength and size. I hope to get back in the groove on my diet this weekend and buckle down. I notice that when my diet is cleaner my energy levels are up.

I did leg press this morning and was able to workout with the 565 pounds someone had left on the press.
I did 3 sets of 6 and felt like i could do more weight.
It probably sounds lite to many here but it was a personal best.
My goal for now is 750 on the leg press.
I wish that was an option on the bodystats page.
