Well, here we are. Just a matter of days until my journey for ‘08 ends and I start looking forward to improving for ’09s season. I’m staying with Gina as my nutritionist even after I move to Washington State (dance with the one who brought you).
My hubby got me a little something as a way of congratulating me on staying my course through all of the hardships and never losing sight of the goal.
Here’s a photo of my hubby’s bike, with mine.
Win, lose or draw on stage come this Saturday, I have truly WON many small battles along the way.
A girl is truly happy to be done dieting for a while though, after a year and a month, my body is EXHAUSTED and in need of some TLC.
Ciao for now….
Oh, I’ll put up some photos from my last updates.

For the past 2.5 weeks, I have been eating and sleeping with my personal trainer manual in preparation of taking my CPT certification exam.
Traveled this past wekend to Westlake Village, CA to attend an ISSA seminar taught by Dr. Jack Barnathan (incredible instructor, luv ‘em).
I took my exam on Sunday. I passed! Now, I’m looking to get the NSCA-CPT and call it good, but that’s next year. Now the focus is the Cal…
5 Weeks and counting.

I’m back after recovering from 3 days of an eating binge after the show. The end result was a weight change from 129 lbs on stage Saturday to 153 lbs in front of the mirror on Thursday. I will
N-E-V-E-R do that ish again.
Onto happier things, I’m currently resting right where we want me to be, 139 lbs and looking pretty lean too. I have totally revamped my training and cardio to bring my legs in with better condition and tone. Also been working a bit with Derick Farnsworth on my lower lats…damn those things are stubborn. They’ll come, I’ll have them for by the time the Emerald Cup rolls around next Spring (my first show of 2009).
The diet is so good, carbs everywhere, they’re clean but my body is loving it! I’ve become a pro at making breakfast frittatas so I get my veggies in with every meal of the day. For my shakes I’m taking Greens+. I’ve been studying Precision Nutrition by John Berardi and LOVE the program. While I can’t follow all of it now, adding more veggies to my meals is one of the things I’ve embraced fully. I wrote up a nutrition plan for my hubby following the PN plan and he’s leaning out nicely (g-r-r-r-r baby)!
Aside from that, I’m taking my certification exam next weekend in Los Angeles, wish me luck.
Thanks to everyone who has sent me a note/email, been very busy but I am very appreciative of your taking time to write.
Have a great week!

Hey BB.com! It’s been a great week, been relaxing, picking up so new clients (man, where did they come from all of a sudden?).
Been learning a lot in and outof the gym. I’ve totally revamped my training style to avoid adding more muscle. I like this a lot, it’s fun with lots of variety, very challenging though. I was sucking wind last night doing bike sprints. It’s nice not to have to worry so much about adding muscle, which I love to do but aside from my calves, it’s all good.
I finally got my photos from the show, some of them were really nice! Some of them were like “what in the world was I thinking about during THAT moment?”.
The diet has been kicked back a few notches, clean but lots more food (grrrr baby)! The water retention is starting to subside (finally) and I can almost see cuts in my quads again, that’s great for 9 weeks out from the next show, 16 from the USA’s.
Someone asked me if I’m as excited as I was the day I won…I wasn’t exactly excited…THAT WAS SHOCK. Now, I’m excited to see what limits I can push in transforming my physique even more. I have a definite goal, which I’ll be putting on the cork board next to the countdown calendar at home.
I’ll start back with my photo updates in about two weeks.
Meal #5 then it’s to train a lady who recruited me at the show.
Keeping striving for your personal best…it’s a wonderful journey.

Ugh!! Lol, this is a new experience, one I think I’ll skip next time! *** nods head and looks down for non existent ankle bones***
Oh well, such is life. Things are good. Back on track with the diet today, and starting cardio again. Still not lifting this week though. We’ll be working to streamline my physique even more. I notice on my diet sheet that she’s switched up my ratios a bit since I’m leaner this time around. Interesting to watch the process, learning tons!
My favorite headphones went belly up yesterday so now I’m using those little ear buds that come with the iPod…it’s lime green, (like my car). I hate those buds.
I’ve started reading a book, As a Man Thinketh by James Allen, will share my thoughts on that as I progress through the chapters.
That’s all for now, just enjoying being back in the gym and headed towards another goal. I’m excited about my training as I’ve been giving a LOT of thought about what I want to incorporate for more conditioning. It’s gonna be fun, but hard work.
TTYS!!

Got the world from lady G tonight that I’m back in the training zone starting tomorrow. Feels good to know I can get back to working on my physique though I realize time off and recovery is needed after such an agressive dieting/training season.
Want to give a special shout out to GoFigure1908, she’s a true sweetheart, thank you for such a wonderful correspondence! Best of luck to you as you start your prep next week.
3:30 am comes early around here…catch up later!
