Catching up…
Friday, February 29th, 2008Been a while since I’ve updated my blog, my apologies. Even as I prepare this, I am doing so ‘offline’. Lately, time has become a very precious commodity with the demands at work becoming almost as demanding as my precomp diet!
Things have been going very well, have been progressing at a steady pace albeit not to where I would like but it takes a while to melt away all of the fat to see what lies beneath. My upper body training over the years has done me well, I have MUCHO muscle, perhaps too much as my lower half is still very soft in comparison. Perhaps when it’s completely lean it will look better but as of now, there’s a glaring disparity between to the two regions. I’m ok with it, it is where it is. I’ve been doing inventory on myself and gotten evaluations on what I need to bring up for next year so I’m prepared to do my best this year with that I’ve brought to the table then start on a decisive plan of improvement for the 2009 competition year.
There’s a member here I’d like to give a shout out two, Beby, she has been a lifeline for me while I’ve been offline. Very sweet and generous young lady, I like her bunches! She keeps me laughing, encouraged, listens to me rant and asks hundreds of questions (which is ok by me). So thanks girlie for the support, got much luv for ya! ***muah***
Right now, I’m waiting for the finals to start at the Arnold to see how my girl Gina is doing. It’s been such an eye opening experience watching a pro prep for her competition (in and out of the gym). I have been truly blessed with such an opportunity. It’s helped give me vision along with a new found sense of purpose and discipline. Without her and my hubby, I would have long ago pulled into Krispy Kreme for an all out assault on the Lemon Filled donuts.
So, there are two weeks left before my figure debut and I’m beginning to ‘feel’ like a figure girl and not a bodybuilder in a figure body. I’m VERY pleased with the changes that have taken place thus far and can only imagine where I’ll be in May for the CAL.
I’ve got so many things to do over the next two weeks in preparation, I’m a bit behind the power curve but it’ll get done. The hardest part is over, now it’s primarily detail work then back into the saddle for April’s show…
See ya on the flip side of the weekend,
Chocol8
