on the lat machine for chest up to 250 but its not easy and im preferring doing 230 multiple reps but I know I always have increased my weights by going up even if its one rep with not so perfect form.
on the triceps extension i did squeeze out 70lbs 3 reps perfect form and prolly should have gone up to 4. I know Im on my way to 75lbs but am def working out the shoulders.
COMPOUND Excercises...wow this is what I did back in 2001 (followed by ten years of no gym and eating fast food smh smh smh ) and this sheat werkssssss.
Im doing only 40lbs 3 sets of militiary presses but I know Ill be up to a one rep max of 100lbs in no time. Im surprised this isnt up there in the bodystats since its such a key excercise with so many benefits.
I can SEE..I can VISUALIZE myself using the olympic weights and doing 100lbs then 105 then 110 then 115 then 120 ans then 125 ..thats how it starts and it just grows!
I am also finally doing the wrist curls and feeling the pump and this is going to reduce chance of injury.
Ive gotten better at recovery..nutrition and sleep and not overworking out are key.
Sleep is key as well!

keep growing or doing what makes u happy in the gym. I want big numbers to impress myself and its not a bad thing to want to impress others cause if u CAN that means you've got something that is impressive!

Another year of Redemption
I've still been on my upper body cycle and see great results.
Ive been aiming for a bigger chest bigger tris and bigger traps.
Ill also be focused on my shoulders over the next three mths before I hit the bench press harder than before.
I dont feel like Im 37. Im bigger and stronger than when I was 18. Heck when I was 18 I spent half the year in the hospital and 4 more mths at home fighting for my life. I still cant believe Im alive. Everyday is a blessing. I almost feel like if I died tomorrow I got 19 more yrs than what I expected.
I focus on making sh$t happen. I've got my own store..it hasnt been easy, Ive got my own set of friends..thats been easy, Ive got my body in better shape than before....not everything is perfect but the bottom line is step by step with dedication and mind over matter I'm stronger than ever before both inside and outside the gym.

My lats will be pekas higher than Mt. Everest.
Shoulders as big as boulders.
Thighs wider than the skies.
Lats wider than king sized bed mats.
Biceps bigger than triceps
Buns more solid than the butts of my hunting guns.

Big Chest
right now I am just focused on reaching and passing a one rep max of 330 lbs and right now I'm at about 200 if we are talking barbell.

Food and Muscle
Yea so the last month I had some great priorities in my personal life so I hit the gyma few times but not like I used to hard core.
that being said I did change my diet and lost more fat without relying on the muscle-burn-the fat- appraoch.
Since I want to gain more muscle mass and hit the 220 goal using as few supplements as possible I decided to focus on eating less calories these past two months and have noticed I lost more fat.
I also notice when I hit the gym I lose more fat as well. It seems a few people noticed my weight loss and were wondering if I was sick lol!
I found this twist a rope witht he weights thing I bought for the forearms..this has been a weak spot of mine and I've been werking them this month cause I know to move up as much as I want to int he weights I need stronger forearms. I want logs as forearms so I'm thinking Ronnie coleman style but I know I've got a lot of work ahead!
Anyway I feel great and being away from the gym wasnt so bad...maybe the body appreciates the rest and we all know rebuilding a few weeks worth of non gym isnt so hard!

I been werkin da traps and roundin out the shoulders. Had neglected them but really want to them shoulders roll like boulders.
I want traps higher than mount everest flex em!
I'd say Im about 40% back to where I was 11 years ago. I still have to werk the lats more...I dont have wings like I used to..guess what I have now is mini wings!! ????
circulation seems really good seeing the veins continue to grow but not as much as they would if Id do that nitrous oxide stuff.
So thats its for now.
Just getting bigger my emphasis has been on the chest lately and the legs are ready to pop to 25 inches..I just need to eat better and be more disciplined about my eating to support the size I want... and since I've been werking so hard at it it is stupid to lose size just because I dont eat right (ie my power foods etc).

Today was legs and I still went at it even though I might be moving furniture tomorrow but since its my stuff Ill prolly move it off to 9/12.
I really werked the glutes and love the feeling of the muscles in my legs and glutes the next day saying wow we really werked hard do we really have to don anything today?
Then I make it clear we still have to go to work children and we still have to do the things we do everyday so my legs and glutes say ok but you'd better eat lots of protein or we are going to make it painful for you!
Lately I'd been staying up to around1 or 2 am and having fun (let your mind come up with any idea andits prolly notto far off!) but now I am trying to behave and want to really work the chest over the next month.
I do notice people looking at me more in the gym. I dont mind. It lets me know I'm making progress. Sheesh must have been about five six people that said hello to me but it has been since last week that I've set foot in the gym. LAst week did chest and tris and quite frankly my chest werkout is so intense it takes about 4 days for everything to heal and grow but its an amazing feeling for me and I love it so much.
So I'm not sure but maybe two days or 3 days ill go to do my chest werkout.
I've noticed that I dont need to go everyday to the gym to maintain my body.
I've also noticed that I'm at the turning point where my bodyfat is not in charge..it seems the muscles are winning!
So I started this in 2010 and can say that thru all the gym sessions the most rewarding thing has been the constant but gradual improvement in my body. I'm looking in the mirror and finally seeing something that reflects the dedication on my part. I'm not there yet..I'd say I'm 50% to where I used to be 10 years ago but thats ok I know i'll get there!

Well today I went back to my crazy leg workout cause I want to get my legs up to 26 inches within the next 6 months and they have hovered around 24.5
I did the hamstrings warmup at 90 lbs then did the IcARAIN 3 sets started at 90lbs then went to 180lbs then went to 230lbs and it felt great.
Then I did my seated leg presses.
I did my usual 3 sets started at 180lbs then went to 270lbs then went to 360lbs but could only do 7 reps.
Then I did the standing leg curls for the calves just two sets for warm up at only 135 lbs then on to the seated leg curls for the calves and did my 3 sets and went up to 140lbs and felt like my legs ready to detach from all major limbs. I am sure to do 150lbs next time and when I do these curls I do them nice and slow no quick rocking like all the cheaters out there.
Then did the thigh abduction thingy for the buns of steel not the one for the inner thighs did it to the maz 200lbs which is to easy maybe if it went up to 300 or 400lbs it would be a challenge.
THEN I did the leg curl with the feet pointed inwards and started at 120 then wnet to 140 then went to 170 (cant remember the first two numbers but do remember the last set was at 170lbs) and this was great because I dont think I've ever done 170lbs before and my goal is to pass 200lbs on this leg curl machine to make my wheels look like a piece of art worthy of the guggenheim museum
This was a great workout and I will continue this type of wrokout because this is what makes me feel accomplished. I love wiping the sweat away from my forehead and seeing it collect on my fingers as if my hand just went under the running faucet.
I'm not working on vascularity this past summer of 2012 and I dint cut so now the continued weight gain will be muscle as my goal is to get up 245lbs before cutting.
I dont eat "clean" and after this gym werkout when I got back to home I bbq'ed a full steak and ate the whole damn things and quite frankly could have eaten more! I have also started eating more protein and have noticed bigger gains.
I also noticed here and there people look at me noticing my size even though I'm not ripped by any means. Even a guy I had hired we started chatting and I brought up working out and how I had just done my chest werkout and he asked me how I got the definition and I explained the upper peak is all in the incline as far as I could see.
Anyway today was truly an insane workout the type where everything was back to back and my body was truly pushed to the max but its the greates feeling for me to be in the gym.
So after the gym when I went to 711 to get some ice cream (see no clean eating for now!) and the lotto ticke the guy asked me for ID and I was like wow I'm 37 you made my day! He was like"You look like my son!" I replied do that to me when I'm 50!
The iron is my chisel and my body is the statue.

Form over ego
Today was a great werkout day. My chest has been doing great and getting bigger and people notice it.
I seemyself passing others in the gym that used to be more fit than me and I see myself catching up or matching up with others that used to be beast.
What is exciting is that there is so much more to be done.
I am still doing 70lbs on the tricep overhead extension. Form needs to improve and it will. Then it is on to 75. And yes before I go to 75 when I do 70 I need to be able to go deep on each ten reps..I know halfway produces halfway results. I know one day Ill get to 100lbs but that is not going to happen to next spring. I know this because when I did 70lbs it was heavy because I was not as full of energy as other nights and its dangerous to move up to quickly.
Lastly its a great feeling to have all this muscle.. its almost like the muscle is an entity of its own immune from the power of gravity. I love the way my chest musclescontrol the fabric of my shirt. In the past it was like my tshort was a heavy blanket whose mission was to announce there is no chest here to see move along people.
Socrates said that everyone should see the ultimate peak of their physical existence at least once in their lifetime. I'm not there yet but when I get there Ill thank him for the advice this trainer of the mind left for all of us to accept or reject.

Traps Chest
Ok so I did 250lbs on the traps thingy the one where you stand and didnt realize I could do that much.
I always did just 180lbs three sets but now that I want traps like Mt. Everest I am going HAM.
Truth is today I realize I will move up to THREE 45lb plates both sides ..I was going to do this last night but wasnt sure if I could and realize today this type of thinking is ok as long as it is temporary..its ok to do a test drive of lesser weight but if you realize the next day you could have done more then its great to do this the next session.
So there you have it I will do 270 three sets next session and invite the snow to land on my peak traps in 2013. One day a captain of a passenger jet will announce "Ladies and gentlemen to your right are the infamous peaks of Mr. chizzleChaz.. notice the two traps have grown in size since 2012. Please enjoy the rest of your flight."

Hey Hey I have to say I've been consistent with the seated calf machine at 130lbs and def need to do 140lbs next time. I know it will take about a year to get the rock solid big calves I want but thats ok!
I can feel my hamstrings getting bigger and their is less fat in that area.
I really need to continue the shoulder stuff...I want to start the overhead militiary press..start out light and just move up with a no regrets approach.
This is my new source of strength: no regrets. I opened up a store this year and can look back and say at least I tried..at least I took the jump..at least I know a door that could have been ignored was not ignored..you know when they say one door might close another one might open? Well in real lifesomeone has to actually open that door and I wont wait for someone else to open up that door!
The same goes for bodybuilding...open up a door for yourself at the gym and you can look back and not regret missing out on new oportunities for muscular success!

1. Definitely need to start at 60lbs for first set and do 65 lbs for the last two sets for the tricep overhead extension...if I dont feel the usual breakdown Ill have to up it to 70lbs...the gym didnt have 65 lbs for some time so I didnt want to g to 70 from 60 and risk some strain/injury....
I can feel my tris getting more solid..and defintely do NOT have all the fat I had there last year.
I am not doing ANY cutting this summer because I am aiming for size..in fact I am seeing how much mor I can eat without becoming fat because the muscles just burn that sh$it up!!
I have also restarted my leg workout which this round is putting an emphasis on my calves and then when I get them to a certain size/physique Ill go heavier on my freestyle squats. I hadnt even done any of my Icarain squats and wowee the first round I went up to only 275 and it felt like someone sent my inner leg muscles through a steam roller!! Ill get back up to the 365 but am taking my time because I am just looking to maintain my skinny legs until winter. This fall I will continue my upper body workout.
I also do more forearms workouts and clearly I can see in my pics they are not impressing me. I know to move up in the weights I need stronger forearms so its good they grow quickly.
I am also working out my traps more and the shoulders more.
I guess I'm at the point where I am becoming better at the sculpting part of bodybuilding....and I want to start doing more lats moves with the dumbells..I noticed my left side was impacted by the two surgeries I had when I was 18 where they cracked open the rib cage on my left side to save my life.
Ten years ago I had really impressive lats and right now they arent like what they used to be and I was trying to think of the machine I used and now realize it was one of the cybex machines but I know I need to focus on these more.
Well it felt great today doing the squats and leg press..leg press only went up to 325 but just being safe as I get back into the leg workout.

Wow so is the 50 inch chest really going to happen? Thats my goal and I say it will.
I feel myself getting bigger and plan on keeping it that way. Today I only did 130 for the seated leg curl but you cna be assured it will be 150 soon then 175 thereafter then will get to 200 lbs then 225 then 250 and on and on and on.
Triceps workout has changed. I no longer do 55 lbs as my starting point.
Tonight I started at 60 lbs 12 reps then went up to 65lbs 12 reps then did 60 lbs ten reps for the tricep overhead extension using dumbells. b4 I did that I did do 40 then 50lbs a few reps on the cable pushdown.
I plan on doing 70lbs in a few weeks even if its just ten reps. Eventually the starting point will be 65lbs not 60 lbs.
My goal on the overhead tricep extension is doing 85lbs by December 25th only if its safe and form is good.
I also like the traps werkout....I didnt know what traps are for but apparently they are for arm support and since I have really long arms I suspect these traps will help me perform better in my general upper body werkout
Next month I start some more intense diet strategy to prevent these crashes that just really suck..you know those enrgy crashes and sometimes I know its the carbs that are needed..I am getting better at this but still need to be more discplined to get me through the night and the day....especially if I want to hit 225 and maintain.
I am particulary happy that I am focusing ont he calves..I want to make them explode in size and am aware of the challenge..however I am up for it and by next summer they will be big, strong and vascular.

Alternatives to Barbell Squats
The good news is that it gets better and better now that I've stuck to it..havent been perfect but also havent been horrible.
The stress of a few personal changes in my life mkaes me thankful for every day I get in the gym and in life.
I dont look at the gym workout as something to dread..in fact I enjoy it. I dont go crazy at the gym exposing myself to injury and sometimes will drop down in weight and focus on form.
I restarted using the ICARAIN machine and just seemed to have really really great results with it. My glutes and thighs really respond to this machine. Someone said its really hard on the kness but I just havent had that problem..in fact I have found the deeper squats on this machine makes my legs stronger!

Tried for 200lbs on upper incline but only got half a rep done but dropped down to 195 for half a rep and you know sooner than later that 200 will turn into one rep then two then three etc etc heck yea.
Doing 80lbs on the tricep cable thing is awesome..cant wait to get to 90lsb maybe around september.
doing 65lbs now on the overhead tricep extension is also awesome cant wait to get to 70lbs but was tired tonight but did the 65lsb anyway.
doing 90lbs then 100lbs then 110lbs on the seated leg curl was nice but I want to get to 200lbs and think I will def reach 125lbs by then end of August and most def reach 150lbs by the end of October then 175 lbs by December who knows maybe Ill shoot right past these months alot faster.
Ok so tired but must say this was one great workout tonight oh yea only did 190lbs on the butterfly chest thing but thats ok 205 is next then one day 300lbs right?
