Improvements yay!

Im into my 8th week and I’m not doing too bad. Although I’m starting to lose focus at the gym and with my diet. The fat burner was working well when my diet was straight but a couple days of bad eating has bought all the fat in my stomach back. I’ve cycled off the creatine and my body has pushed through the little mini plateau it was at. Have had people I haven’t seen in a while commenting on my Shoulders, arms and even my neck which is really pleasing. I was thinking of taking a few days off but I’m re-motivated. The multi-vitamin and fish-oil has been working wonders, I just want to get my diet back on track. It’s hard when all your girlfriend wants to eat is take aways though, its alright for her she dosent seem to put on any fat. Jumped on an Erg (rowing machine) and (rowing talk starts) my splits have gone from 2:00min steady state to around 1:46min which is an awesome jump, I definately feel alot stronger when rowing (rowing talk over). So overall im happy, once my diet is straight and abs come through i’ll be ecstatic!!

6 weeks in

So I’ve been at it for 6 weeks now and im pretty happy, body probly not what I thought it would be but thats okay. Been struggling with a cold this week but its not too bad. The gym I’ve been going to is moving so now i’m going to have to sign up to another one. Couple of my friends  go to one close by so I might try that one. Changing it up for the next 6 weeks so we’ll see how that goes. Early mornings are gonna be killer because its freezing here at the moment. But it should be all good, I’m used to the early starts from rowing. Here’s looking forward to a big change in the next 6 weeks. :)

Trainings been pretty good. Im starting to see results especially in my legs. Usually I hate working out my legs but its become my favourite days to work out. I’m Still trying to drop my fat % and my diet has been pretty pitiful as of late but im trying to get back on Track. 2 months till the ab comp with my mate. And one week till I work on my abs everyday. I want to blow him out of the water. Theres still a layer of fat over the top which i need to get rid of.

Starting to Notice a change

This week i’ve had exams and it’s drained my brain. I’ve found that working out half way through studying really helps. Also today i noticed a little bit of definition coming though especially in my calves and my triceps. My biceps seem to be getting bigger and more definative as well. I’m going to try and smash my chest tommorow and hopefully i get more size in that area. This is really becoming fun and I want to keep going to see how far I can take this. One thing i struggle with is dieting. Im a big eater, It started when I was rowing because you spend so long training and so much times a day you end up eating and eating and then excreting it to waste then eating again. And you still lose weight. Definately a sport i would reccomend to people trying to lose weight. A guy in my team this year lost 20kg. Think i’ve blabbed on about nothing enough today.  Chur

No Change??

I got my scales, calipers and tape today. I’ve been trying to gain weight but i’ve lost weight. Im 17% fat which I want to change and my before and after pics so far look the same. When i look in the mirror i dont think i look the same but the pictures tell me something else. Im wondering if the training has just made me think i can see changes when i look in the mirror??? Anyway this has made me super motivated to train harder so i can see changes and get gains. Bring on the next few weeks i say!!!!

Arms too big???

So today was a good day. I pushed myself to failure a couple of times and I felt i had achieved something. So i looked in the mirror in the locker room and I had a look at my arms. They were a lot bigger than usual (of course) but they looked kind of a bit too big for the length of my arm. I kind of looked like an oversized midget (no offence if you are a midget). I thought it might change later in the day but it didn’t. I think maybe i need to work on defining my tri’s and delt’s a little more as i think they were mainly to blame. I think im developing a obsessive compulsive need to look at myself in every reflective surface as well, which is kinda funny because I’ve only been working out consistantly for a couple off weeks. It’s only the beginning, but im enjoying working out alot!!! I love the Gym!!!

Ab Workout

Ahh my first workout toward a six pack.. Went pretty good i reckon.. Abs are sore though.. Did 3 sets of 15 decline crunches, hanging leg lifts, ab machine crunches, lying leg lifts and side crunches..

NEW GOAL!!!

I’ve decided to change my goals and instead of training to row… I’m gonna train to transform my body from lightweight with a beer gut to that guy that even guys check out when walkin on the beach.. Hmmm this is pretty much the very beginning. ive been in and out of trainiing for a few months but now ive finally managed to stick with it consistantly and im loving it. Feeling a pump and feeling like a giant after you work out is a great feeling. Im gonna get me some equipment so i can do regular checks on my weight and measurements and stuff.. The main thing i want is ab’s, i haven’t had them since i was about seven haha. We’ll see how I go…

1st Blog

Decided to write my first blog about and i’m having my 3rd attempt at the gym thing… So i was rowing and thought id take a year off to train my arze of and maybe go back to it… I’m definately not the tallest rower (approx, 5′7) but i enjoy it anyway. When i was rowing i lost about 6kg and have since put on about 10kg, and not from working out in the gym, but from eating takeaways all day… So now i’ve got the gym buzz back and im feeling really good. Todays workout was great, its been over a year since i’ve actually smiled when i looked in the mirror after a gym session. We’ll see how everything goes. Made a bet with my mate i’d get better abs than him in 12 weeks… So far all i’ve got is one giant beer gut. (not for long though ;) )
