first week back training and can hardly walk!
Hi everyone! I got back to training after 4 weeks off due to my surgery and i can hardly walk! I have been just doing lightweight, but keeping rep ranges between 15-20 (mostly 15) and doing 3-4 sets with my exercises. I have also been doing slower tempos so that really triggered my muscles into shock! I am totally sore everywhere except my hamstrings aren’t too bad. Those are some hard boogers to get sore and make grow, but from what i see that is one of the most difficult areas for most women anyways. My calves is another story, they are STILL sore from Wednesdays workout. My right one feels like it cramps up and stays stiff if i don’t move around. I was surprised about this since i was using lighter weight…lol. Maybe some growth will come out of it since my calves are so small.
I started off like this for my first week and may keep this going for awhile. I can’t go back full blown until 3 months out and then i don’t know if i can do any ab workouts, i may have to wait until i’m 6 months out from surgery:
Monday - Biceps/Triceps & 45 mins cardio
Tuesday - Chest/Back & 45 mins cardio
Wednesday - Hams/calves & 45 mins cardio
Thursday - Traps/shoulders & 45 mins cardio
Friday - Legs & 45 mins cardio
Saturday - 45 mins cardio(was going to take off, but felt up for it)
Sunday - OFF
I am doing low to moderate intensity cardio and i break it up like 25 mins before lifting and then the rest after my lifts. This seems to work well for me. I take NoShotgun before/during my lifts which tends to help me and a bit of beta alanine. So far so good. I’m still undecided if i like NoShotgun better than Vasocharge. I feel like Vasocharge kicks in better, but we will see after awhile. Eats have been alright, although not 100% and i’m have been allowing myself 2 weekly cheat meals. The scale hasn’t changed really which i’m happy with, but i do need to get my water intake up since i have been slacking on that. Almost time to order some more protein powder, dang it goes fast for real now since my husband (rpeebles75) has started a healthier lifestyle. Its all good though. Thanks for reading!
