HEY DIVAS- Look Who’s On Stage and Who DO YOU WANT TO BE (by V1 and Beka)

This is from another forum i visit daily and was posted by V1 (also on BodySpace as a member and figure competitor). If this doesn’t light a fire under your a$$, i don’t know what will for you competitors!! I just wanted to share it here as well for others:

HEY DIVA-  Look Who’s On Stage, on Fire, and in your FACE

                        That’s right. It’s me–the girl who’s standing right next to you on stage.   I’m READY.    Who am I?    

I’m your competition.   

That’s right. I’m the rock hard competitor standing next to you on comp day. I saw you eyeballing me backstage…to be honest, it only gave me MORE confidence.

–you know what? I HOPE you’re nervous. You SHOULD be. I worked my tail off in the gym. I didn’t cheat, and I followed my plan to the T. I am here 100% as good as I can be because I KNOW I couldn’t have worked any harder. I gave my ALL.

I hope you cheated on your meals. I hope you missed your cardio— and those heels??? ‘hope you pulled those puppies straight from the box to the stage. Hardly a scratch on ‘em, huh?

That’s right. I’m standing next to you and I hope you start shaking in your pose that you haven’t practiced. I hope you were up all night trying to find all the stuff you needed to show up here today.

I was at the gym last week, pushing through my last rep. Feeling my muscles burn down to the last fiber. I-WAS-ON-FIRE. Where were you? Still lookin’ for that match?

I’m the competitor on stage with you…   

…Is that a fire I smell?   

Go ahead, SCARE ME.  I DARE YOU.

Here is another one started by Beka (also a BodySpace member and figure competitor) on the same forum:

Who do you want to be?

Do you want to be the Wimpy Girl? You know, the one who does what she is supposed to do, but grumbles the whole time?

Wimpy Girl finds nothing positive about her fitness journey. She gets up at 5 am every morning to get her workout done, but complains the whole time. She eats her egg whites and oatmeal, still complaining. She drinks her water, but tells everyone how horrible it is to have to go to the bathroom 20 times a day.

She wants the lean and hard body, but she also wants to make sure everyone knows how “hard” it is on her and how much she despises every second of changing her body. She wants the attention and sympathy.

Then we have Hardcore Girl. She does everything that Wimpy Girl does, but because of her positive attitude, she runs a little faster, lifts a little heavier, eats a little cleaner, and pees a little more.

Hardcore Girl rarely complains. She works like a robot and does what she is told. She doesn’t overthink her program or her workouts. She just does it. She doesn’t tell her family and coworkers about every single aspect of her training because she doesn’t want to hear any negativity from them.

Hardcore girl knows what she wants and she is willing to do it without complaint. No, isn’t always easy, but keeping a positive mindset makes it much, much more enjoyable.

The process of changing your body into what you want it to be does not have to be a miserable process. It is how you think about your program that makes all the difference in the world.

Complain, and the process will be an utterly miserable one, not just for you, but everyone around you. Who exactly will you inspire by complaining all the time?

Moving along, one foot in front of the other while never looking back is the girl I want to be. Some days are less than golden, while other days I feel like I could move mountains. It’s the cumulative effect that gets you the results.

Why some people think that attaining the body of your dreams is a miserable process is beyond me. It doesn’t have to be! All it takes is a little reprogramming of your mind, and it’s all easy street from there.

So next time we feel like we can’t do another rep and say the heck with it, THINK AGAIN! Your competition is out there working their tails off for the same trophy you are trying to attain. Oh, just another cheat, i will work it off, yeah keep thinking that. WE GOT TO BE FIERCE AND STRONG COMPETITORS!! GIVE IT YOUR ALL! These are keepers, print them out and post them where you can SEE them!

    These are both great! I especially love the first one. I always remind myself when i’m lifting that I will never lose because my competition trained harder. I will have to share these. Thankz!

    Yup, one of my friends copied the first one and put my pic behind it flexing and sent it to me via email to print out and put it in the gym. I got it hanging next to the bench!
