Weekend funks and new lifting stats

So lately i have noticed that when refeed days (high carb days) roll around, it turns more into a cheat day. I am supposed to keep the fat low like to 20%, but i’m having more than that. Its been 2 weeks in a row now or so, i’m really going to have to buckle down if i want to compete this year. Can’t be dealing with food issues! Its just that i have been hungrier lately since starting my new workout routine and not eating on time doesn’t help! Thats why its so important to eat every 2-3 hours and get in at least about 5 meals in so you aren’t scavenging the pantries for something to eat…LOL. Like some bear or something! Its always the weekends, during the week i do great and the evil weekends are out to get me or something. I do realize i have full control so i will have to nip this in the bud!

Also if you have noticed my lifting stat numbers are going down. This is due to the higher reps i have been doing with the new workout routine (5×10, splits 5xs a week). It still burns and muscles are continuing to grow. That just shows you that those weight numbers are so important, but it is crucial to eventually increase them as time progresses. Building strength and mass is my goal, patience is of the ESSENCE!

Monday, January 14th, 2008

Well, i just completed my first week on the new workout routine and feeling great about it. I was really sore throughout the week so it was a bit grueling. No worries, i didn’t skip anything and kept on with my loud kick ass tunes to keep me going. Well, i am still leaning out and i’m starting to see my upper abs!! YAY!! I have NEVER IN MY LIFE seen them and you know, those little blocks. The lower tummy is really going to be a challenge and i believe that is where my body is holding the fat and then the terrible loose skin from the 4 pregnancies. I’m not giving up though! I’m unstoppable and will keep on going! Just wondering how long before the abs become more defined when you start to see them in the early stages. I really need to get my body fat checked by a professional, cause i am no good with the calipers and the websites give me crazy numbers. When i get a good picture of the abs, i will post it :D

CALVES are SORE from new workout!!

So i started my new workout yesterday. It was chest and shoulders which i really felt the entire workout. More reps for sure. Then i ended it with 10 3 min intervals of jumproping. Talk about sweating!! WOW, i hardly made it through that! Just as expected, i woke up sore and my calves are sore from the jumproping. That ought to get those boney calves of mine to grow some more. Can’t wait to see the changes my body makes from the new workout. BRING THE DOMS!

Animal Pak

I started taking Animal Pak about a week ago and let me tell ya, its a challenge getting all those pills down (more like TORTURE). I really don’t care as long as i see some results from them. I have heard great reviews on them and decided to give them a try. At first i didn’t know if they were safe for females…LOL. It would be nice to hear from other women who take it and what their experience with it has been.
