HEY EVERYONE, I’m Competing in 2008

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Well, I have finally decided that I will be competing in 2008. The competition I am looking at is the Fame US National Championships October 18, 2008 in Miami, FL. I am really looking forward to this and I will be busting my ass all the way up to the competition. I hope to see some of you there. This will be very exciting as I take off on this journey.

Getting to the gym

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Let me ask everyone a question. Have you ever gotten to the gym to change into your workout clothes and find out you forgot to pack something. I did just that yesterday. I was changing and I dug through my gym bag to find out I forgot to pack a pair of socks. I was pissed!!! It just threw everything off for me. However, I still worked out and I took my frustration out on the weights. That really helped because I can feel it in my arms this morning. This has been the fisrt time that I have been able to feel that I worked arms the day after in a long time. Today I am working shoulders and I am going to do a light day because my left shoulder has been giving me problems lately.

Thank you

I want give thanks to God for the body he gave me. I also want to say Thank you to everyone for the words of encouragement and advice. It has been a very big help for me to get where I am today. I want to give a big thank you to my family for their support and the understanding of what I am doing. I very big thank you to my wife for understanding that going to the gym means a lot to me. To my son, for believing or not believing in what I can accomplish at the gym. I will continue doing what I am doing until I am unable to do so. In addition, thank you BB.com for all of the help from the forums and article’s. When I’m not in the gym, I’m on here researching and getting advice from others to help further my passage as an upcoming bodybuilder who will be a threat in the future. Without family and friends who understand this would not be possible. I love the feeling it gives me when everyone notices the changes taking place with my body. Thank you again to everyone.

Taking my son to school

Friday, October 19th, 2007

I took my son to school yesterday for the first time since I’ve been lifting. The looks on people ’s faces were priceless. I looked over at my son and asked him if he had noticed them looking. I told him let them look because the longer they look the more jealous they will be. We kept walking and once inside the school the kids were looking at me in amazement and giggling and talking to each other about me. My son and I reached his classroom where I turned around to walk away after his hand and telling him to have a great day and I heard his buddy say, "Dang, you’re dad is HUGE!" This made my day, the more people say things like that, makes me work harder in the gym to obtain all of the goals that I have set for myself. Even the people in my church can not believe how big I have gotten since I’ve been bodybuilding. There was a rumor going around that I was on the "juice". My good wife, squashed that shit real fast!!!! I was so proud of her for backing me up on what I am trying to accomplish for myself.

Well, more updates

Friday, October 19th, 2007

This past Sunday I took my son to gym with me for leg day. I put 400lbs on the sled and my son asks , "Are you just warming up"? I said yes, and continued to do my set. Then I put 600lbs on and did another 2 sets. I decided what the hell, let’s see if I can do 800lbs. I put two more 100lb plates on and I looked over at my son and he’s shaking his head no. I asked him why he’s shaking his head no and he says, "I don’t think you can do it, dad". I said ok, and went for it. I did 2 sets of 8 reps and my son stood there wide eyed and his jaw about hit the floor. He could not believe how much weight I was pushing with my legs. Then, it was time for calves and he could not believe the weight I was moving there. All my son could do was watch in amazement and shake his head.
