Short break from cutting
Wednesday, January 7th, 2009I have just finished six weeks of Lyle McDonald’s Ultimate Diet 2.0. During those six weeks, I lost 12 pounds, of which I believe is almost entirely fat. As he prescribed, I am now going to take a short break from the caloric deficit and eat at or slightly above maintenance (2600 cal). I will be doing "Stripped Down Hypertrophy", lifting 5 days per week for 3 weeks, then take a week off to recover before going back on UD2 for another four to six weeks. At that point, I should be pretty shredded and able to start a "lean bulk". I’m getting pretty excited about my progress…can’t wait for summer!
