I’m having a hard time dealing with fat gain while bulking…
I’ve been bulking since September 1 and gained 17 lbs, but by my estimations about 7 of that is fat. I knew that I would gain fat going into it, but having previously cut about 40 lbs, this fat gain is hard to deal with. I have committed to bulking through the end of January, but its getting hard to stay motivated when I see the spare tire that is forming staring back at me in the mirrors at my gym.

You’re not the only one man! I always try to stick to a bulk during the winter…but it never lasts long because I hate seeing the definition fade away. I have been "bulking" since September and just decided to switch back to a "cut" again. I made good gains in mass…but for me…the additional size and mass wasn’t worth losing definition and being lean.
Good luck man!

I am currently in a LEAN bulk phase myself. I have found that consuming more calories, but keeping it fairly clean and still getting in my cardio (average of 20 min. per day 4-5 days a week) has minimized the amount of fat gain. I have gained approximately 10 lbs over the last month and still have a pretty solid abdominal display. I plan to bulk until approximately March and will cut from there. Good luck with your goals and keep pushing on! You’ll reap the rewards in the end. P.S. I dig the bike! I just bought my first bike this last year (VStar 1100).
