Heck, it takes my body a week to realize that I just switched things up. A three week trial is a pretty good one to determine if it worked. Keep it up!

Wishing you success on your arms and legs specialization.

It's guys like Sergio Oliva who ruined it for everyone. How can a man have an arm that looks bigger than his freaking HEAD! Incredible.

Hey, have a great week!

You may want to hit abs hardcore first and just finish with cardio. Burn your glycogen stores and then burn fat. It takes a little time before you can get into fat burning mode....this has worked best for me.

Just a thought.

I know what you're talking about Chad!

Work and just life in general sure as hell make it harder than it needs to be when it comes to working out and dieting!

Been pretty much suffering the same sh!t as you have over the last few weeks and whilst my overall weight is going down my LBM is decreasing faster than I like. So my choice is simple..

Get with the program or I have no right to complain if things aint going as I planned!

The first step in my plan of world domination (just been watching Pinky &amp; the Brain!) is to once again start preparing my meals for work the night before. Cook up batches of chicken, turkey etc along with wholewheat pasta or couscous as well as a big wok of stir fried fresh veggies. Pack it into containers and then I can snack on that throughout the day; along with the apples, oranges, bananas etc that I keep on my office cabinet.

Next step is to have tins of tuna strategically located in my office and also a 10lb bag of protein powder.

But just as importantly is to manage my calendar so as I can get my @rse to the gym regularly and throw in a few cardio sessions... (if you check my blog been kinda lacking in this departure for the last three weeks due to that necessary evil.... WORK)

Well that's my plan from this Monday....

Hope it goes well for you buddy! Keep your eye on the prize and all that! :)

Hey chadwick,
I know what your talking about. I seem to be getting buffer but still have nagging folds here and there. Partly cus I hate working my abs, its kinda annoying and the end of a workout when your exhausted. Why not do it earlier in the workout? Because your body needs your ab strength, full force, so its important not to fatigue them prior to prevent injury. BUT then again, its not magic. It takes alot of work to cut down your waist and lean out. You've prolly read as much as I have how you must strip down the diet and rid yourself of all cheese and fats and carbs and watch the sodium and most importantly, count every single ****ing calorie and keep them clean. Its true. But its not that easy if your faced with stressful circumstances everyday as redoing your home and getting a new work position. I'm kinda in the same boat.

A friend of mine got me a great cook book called MUSCLE CHOW by gregg avedon. Its put out by mens health and has very simple and delicious recipes. There's over 150things to cook and they are all things directed to burn fat and feed muscle. Check that out. It might help you out in the kitchen.

Another thing is cardio! you just have to kill your legs and dedicate some serious time on the cross-trainer/elyptical AND the treadmill. I say, at least 40mins on the crosstrainer and 30 on the mill. I've been doing this the past month and have noticed my waist go slightly down and my calves bulge for days. Although my diet isn't as clean as I'de like it to be. I'm sure it would be much better if I had both working on my side.

I love pumping iron and I hate takin away any time and attention to do cardio or abs but in the end- it is a must. And once we relax from the bar and see cardio and abs just as exhilarating and tenacious as pumping heavy weight, then I think our body will respond, naturally. It does take alot of patience because it does take a long time lean out. If you lose weight fast by having a neglective diet, you screw up your metabolism and end up losing alot of water and muscle. Then you become kinda big and shapeless. So I wouldn't cut down your diet drastically, just make better choices. If your still hungry after a meal, drink water and snack on apples or carrots until your full. Apples are the best choice of fruit to snack on while leaning out. I read it in muscle and fitness feb issue. Infact, they say to practically cut out all fruit except apples. Cleaner calories are much easier to burn off with practically no risk of gaining excess fat. And lean meats, white meats are always your friends.

I have to say, you look great and can't really tell you have any excess fat. You look buff and whatever weight you have still looks good on you. So don't panic, your dedication will get you there. You've come a long way as it is. Just be better day after day. I'm positive you'll get there. I'm positive I'll get there. Just gotta WORK.

Good luck!
