Okay, so I am on day 2 of the modified fast. I have only had 1 solid meal each day the past 2 days. I feel really well. I looked up as some recommended the Velocity diet. I am going to start this tomarrow. Shakes only with one cup cofee in the AM and lots of EFAs in the shakes & lots of water too! I have felt really great the last few days and I think that because of having the good fats included w/ the protein I will not suffer on this diet. I am hoping to be beach ready in 3 weeks. I have kept up my workouts too.

I am still plunking along here. I have not dropped any weight in 2 months….I HAVE GAINED ALOT OF MUSCLE!!! Hooorahhh! I feel very strong and see that yucky jiggle go everyday! I am lifting much heavier like a Buffmother should & it is paying me back.

I have a short term goal of losing 5 lbs of fat in 3 weeks. I can so do this….I am for the next three weeks going to try out a PSMF. It is a Protein Sparing Modified Fast. Kinda drastic I know, but I really eat very healthy all the time, so I don’t have to deal with regain because of bad habits. I just really want an edge to get me beach ready in 1 month from today. I am visiting a freind in CA and we have plans for Memorial Day weekend. Right now I need to drop a good 5 lbs and also keep my new muscle. A hard task I know, but from what I have researched, a PSMF is the best way to lose quickly with minimal muscle loss. I will post the results here when I am done. I plan to use a lower cal program, but with only 200 cal less than I normally eat on solid food. A PSMF is a modified fast, good whey protein drinks and also meal substitutes like hard boiled eggs, egg whites, chicken breast or fish. lean, lean, low carb w/ 3+ protein shakes a day. We’ll see how I do.

Working hard. I have also been pulling 16 hr. work days too! That has been hard to stay steady w/ workouts. But it hasn’t been that bad. I am on workout #4 this week. Took new progress pics and notice a difference….I wish spot reducing would work…..but alas…..

It is weird tho that the first place I lose is the ribs & waist & not legs & butt like I want. It’s not like I have alot to lose in my waist anyway….so what gives??? Oh well, It’s coming along…..slow & steady wins the race right??

Have fun getting buff, I am!!!!

I have been plunking along towards my goal. I have noticed I am leaner and stronger!! I am happy about that.

Have not done so good on my food lately. I have stayed away from the junk, but have went over my calories. I am really going to try and stick to what I have set for myself. Yesterday I only did 30 minutes of steady cardio. I did some jogging on the tready at 6mph, 3% incline. Not bad, but I ended for time’s sake, and felt as if I could have done more. Today I am so busy with work, we’ll see if I can get to the gym. I hope so….. still have 10lbs to go….I would love to be 18% body fat by summer. Right now my handheld (highly inacurate) says I am 24%. Based on it’s standards I think I would be happy when it reads 18%/   I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW THE REAL #, BUT THAT IS SPENDY I HEAR! How are you tested for your RMR? Is there a test out there to tell you your individual number? What does it cost?

Yesterday step interval class 45 minutes of hard work. Yow! my calfs are sore!

I have not lost any pounds on the scale, but am shaping my body nicely. I am noticing more solid arms and legs. Measurements are the same, but I am definately more solid. I have not been posting much, as I am doing alot with buffmother.com. It is great!

I am still on high protein, low carb. I am liking it, except yesterday I splurged on a nice big peice of cheesecake. It was so worth it, and it gave me fuel for my workout. I think it is okay to do this once in a blue moon. My challange is still on! Definately going to make those who say negitive things eat their words for dessert. LOL :)

Okay the challenge is on!! You know how when someone tells you that you just can’t do it. When people tell me it will never happen and that I just won’t be able to reach my goals……wow man, watch out!!! Let me tell you something, it puts a fire in me!!! I thought I was really trying here, but now watch out. It is life or death cuz I know I can achieve my goals. I want to get my body looking like I want it to, for me. But now I have the fire to do it or bust just so that I can say to this person HA< HA, I told you I could do this. I am so determind!!!

Been Gone A While!!

February 26, 2007

I have been off this blog for a while. I have been working out hard, 6 days a week, 3 and 4 days with weights. I have seen a bit of progress, and also a bit of things not going the way I would like. I have not been able to get my body fat tested….I need to. I have gained 3 pounds though. (I am sure this is muscle) I have posted a progress pic. but don’t see much improvement. (a little) I have been blogging on Buffmother.com. Buffmother rocks!!! Check it out ladies!!

I have also been experimenting with my diet. Which might be the reason for not much progress…. I have changed (uped) my carb count, also my calories. Which I have been advised by many….however, I don’t like it. It has not proved to be successful. I plan to stick to what works for me. I guess i can say~ I tried something new & I know it doesn’t work for me.

I am not happy with my progress!! This is enough to drive me to the looney bin!!!

Here is my diet and exercise for the last four days:

day 1- 1,200 cal 27 carbs ***30 minute morning cardio W/ pushups, arms & abs + 30 minutes evening cardio w/ lunges, squats, calfs. (think I had a post workout shake afterward, but it’s noton my journal)

day 2- 1,130 cal 28 carbs ***30 minutes mid intensity cardio

day 3- 1,200 cal 32 carbs ***30 minutes low intensity cardio (walking 3.5mph for 1.75 mile)

Today no workout. :(   Too much going on….

I just can’t seem to get my calories any higher…my protien level is aprox. 110-130 grams per day. I am guessing this is an okay level. Isn’t it 1 gram per pound of the individual???

Wow, I did good today!! I feel good too!

workout- A.M. 30 minute cardio, arms, pushups, hamstrings.

P.M. 30 minutes cardio- sprinting, lunges 3 sets and some running on stairs (5min.)

I am getting a bit bored with this treadmill though…..There is a new gym I am considering joining….I liked the gym because of variety of machines and weights….hmmm?????

Yesterday- rest day

Today- hit it hard!! 45 minutes cardio (sprints)

sculpting on body ball + pushups (I would like to spend 40 minutes at this going through all body parts) {we’ll see, I’m gonna try}:)

My calorie goal for today is 1k

I am this morning already at 7:30am at 600 cal. My breakfast is typically my largest meal. I get up at 4 am. (so that number is from breakfast, coffee and a snack just now at 7am) I have an intermitten plan of meal replacements over the next week to try to slim up. I plan to eat my nice big breakfast, then shake for snack, then shake for lunch, then small protien snack for pre workout, then post workout shake. These shakes are 120 cal. 4 carbs each. so that should put me at roughly 1,050. I may have another cup of coffee w/ 1/2&1/2 so 1,100 calories for the day.

I don’t plan on this liquid thing every day, but every other day. I am still on low carb.

Why can’t I just e born thin and fit??? It would be alot easier. Sometimes I want to just throw in the towel… I often wonder if this is worth all of this. I have worked for months now with only minute progress….ha, I guess this is one of my down days :(
