Let’s see, shoulder Surgery back in April. Rehab quick yet sucky. Was back in the gym 8 weeks post op and am stronger than I’ve been my whole life by far. Found some great lifting partners joined another gym so I could utilize more equipment and train with people that have similar goals. I had completed a cut and got to 9-10%. I’m currently bulking and close to 200LBS…sitting around 15-16% I’m going to keep going till I hit 210 then cut again. Looking to be at 190LBS and at single digit bodyfat by next spring.

For those that don’t know me, I started weight lifting in Feb. of this year so I am very new. I have learned an aweful lot since I made the decision to lead a healthier lifestyle and try to earn some muscle.
First off this is HARD. Major props to you ripped guys and gals that have been at this a while and who’s bodies are reaping the rewards of all the blood, sweat and tears you’ve been shedding in the gym. I am usually pretty good at everything I have tried, sports in highschool, Martial arts, motorcycle roadracing, etc… This is NOT one of those things….you do not get in the gym and get big or "good" over night and natural ability only goes so far. If your going to get strong and build a solid body everyone has to suffer the same demons of busting your butt and there are no short cuts.
Secondly, this is hard…did I already mention that? lol
Thirdly, if there are people in your life that are not living a healthy lifestyle they will not want to hear about your awesome day in the gym or how your weights just seem to be going up every week. They will look at you silly or make comments when you order cottage cheese instead of fries or opt for a salad when you eat out and even go as far to TRY and get you to break your diet.
Lastly, I learned that training legs is fun! If your not training legs…START. It’s very rewarding as they seem to get strong fast and it’s fun to see the weights get piled on as the weeks pass. Also if your not working out or have gone of course from your routine…get back at it. You aren’t hurting your neighbor, or your spouse or your boss by not working out….your holding YOURSELF back, you are hurting yourself. Your body is your temple, it is a reflection of your lifestyle. The only one responsible for that reflection is yourself.
Thanks for reading!
