Losing it on the weekends

So it's been a while since my last post. Body stats are still basically the same. About 165-166lbs and 16% bf. I've been losing some of my motivation lately, and I think it's because of the weekends. My schedule just gets all mixed up and I can't keep the meals going on time. Always out and about town with the kids. I don't know how the big boys do it. I have started feeling like everything I gain during the week is lost on the weekend. Does anyone else have this problem? I don't know, maybe i'm just in a slump. Really wish I had a workout buddy. Gets old sometimes doing it by yourself.

New baby = less sleep = slower progress

Even though my beautiful wife is doing most of the work with our new son, I am still losing sleep every night. I am losing about an hour to an hour and a half of sleep. Not much to some people, but I need my 7-8 hours I am used to. My workouts are still going pretty well, being that I hit the gym later in the day. My body is normally energized by the time I go. My nutrition still needs alot of work. Not eating near enough to get the gains I am looking for. I'm just not feeling hungry enough.

Beginning week 3

So I missed my workout on saturday, due to the fact we did an overnight at the beach with the family. Not upset about missing it, except that it was chest day. (which is what I need the most) I am upset about the meals though. Did not plan ahead and take everything with me, so I had improvise. Not a good idea when you can only use what is within walking distance. Didn't eat anything crazy, but wish I would have planned ahead and taken everthing with me. Lesson learned I guess. Back on track today though.

Going through a rough patch

So it's been a few days since my last post. Been pretty busy with work and the new baby at home. Workouts have been going well. Had someone spot me on preacher curls today, which was nice. Wish I had someone to work out with all the time, because my bis are worn out right now. I have been a little discouraged with the meals though. I'm eating everything according to plan, but my weight is not changing much. I'm sure it's a slow process, but it's hard to keep the motivation. Also I wasn't happy with my chest day this past saturday. Did not feel the burn like I thought I would. I have put my trust into Steve's plan, and will continue that trust. He is proof that it can be done, so I must stay strong.

Had a rest day yesterday. I know it was needed, but I wanted to be in the gym. Will be glad to get back at it with back, hams, and calves today.

Rest Day

So no post yesterday. Didn't have much to say. Worked on bis, tris, and abs yesterday. Today I get a rest day. Meals are going pretty well. I was having trouble finishing all the food at first, but it is getting better each day. I'm feeling a little tired today, so the rest is needed. We have a new baby at home, so sleep time has not been ideal. Gonna keep pushing forward though. Just staying focused on where i'm trying go.

Day 2 Post 1

It's day 2 and i'm feeling good. Did a much better job with the bacon this morning. Tasted much better after being cooked correctly. Worked out quads, calves, and abs yesterday. All out good workout. My abs were on fire afterwards. Hitting delts and traps today. Let's see how it goes.

Day 1 Post 1

So today is the first day of a new mass building program. Through my new friend and fitness guru Steve Poynter I am going to go from 150lbs and 16% bodyfat to between 170-180lbs and 10-12% bodyfat. This mornings breakfast was an interesting one. 2 whole eggs and 4 egg whites. The most eggs I have ever eaten at one time. 4 strips of turkey bacon, which I burned the hell out of, but still ate. Will try to do better tomorrow. 1 cup of Kashi high protein cereal dry. Tasted better than I thought it would. 1 glass of water. Meal 2 was a protein shake with some mixed berries, 1/2 banana, and peanut butter. Tasted much better than it sounded to me. That is where I sit at the moment. More to follow soon.
