As some of you may know if you’ve been following me for any amount of time, I’ve been working on getting and maintaining my motivation. I have all the things I need to be a sucessful bodybuilder (food, supps, gym, workout plan), but I’ve just can’t seem to maintain motivation from week to week.
I’ve tried many different approaches. I took pictures to see my development, kept my measurements, have inspiring pictures, and have a great mental picture of what I want to look like. Despite all of these things, I just can’t stay with it for more than a couple of weeks.
So my question to all of you is, WHAT THE HELL AM I MISSING! I’m open to any and all suggestions and advice that you all have.

This split is the second split that I’m doing along with the previous workout for about 3 weeks to get my core back! I’ve got some serious abs going on too and I’m very happy with the progress I’ve made. I’ve stopped worrying about my weight and just sticking to working out every week.
Chest Press - 60lbs x 61 = 3660
Back Extensions - 135lbs x 51 = 6885

So this is how it works: I start off slow for the first couple of weeks while I try to get the hang of this program. I do 2 moves with weight that I can do 10 reps with and I see how much I can do in 7 1/2 minutes. I multiply the reps times the weight to get a figure that I use to base my next workout on. The more weight I move, the higher the number becomes next time.
Hack Squat - 31 reps x 70 lbs = 2170 It felt a little hard about the 4th set. I could barely walk out of the gym. LOL
Lat Pulldown - 52 reps x 60lbs = 3120. 5 reps x 70lbs = 350 Total = 3470. It felt easy at 60. I’ll try for 70 next time.

Well all, I’m back!
I’ve had to take some time off from lifting to handle some personal life issues that have come up. Many of you may not know, but I suffer from chronic anxiety and I’ve been not on my game lately. My lifting has not been a priority lately and I haven’t had the energy or time between school, work, and my EMT job to do any decent lifting. Not a real good excuse, I know. I’ve been working with my doctor and friends to help keep me motivated and I’m happy to report that, starting today, I will be back in the gym at least 3x a week with a new program that seems to just fit me like a glove.
I’m starting the new EDT program today. (Escalating Density Training) I’m starting a 3 week trial period today and I’m hoping to have good results by the end of it. I’m going home this afternoon to take a couple of quick shots with my phone cam and then it’s off to the gym. I’m hoping to keep up with the blogging and stats each week, and hopefully you will all see a big improvement in a couple of weeks. At least back up to where I was before.
The site has changed quite a lot since I was last here, so it’s going to take me a few days to get reoriented to the site. I’m going to be setting my goals and drastically changing my profile. Keep on the lookout!
I’m counting on all my friends and peers to keep me in line here. I’m going to be getting a new MSN screen name and will have that posted when I get it this afternoon. HERE’S TO MY NEW BEACH BOD!!!! I hope everyone stays healthy and I can’t wait to get back into it!
