Sooo yeah I’ve made a lot of progress from where I started a year ago BUT I haven’t really accomplished much of anything since last summer. I’m pretty down about it. My weight fluctates between 184 and 190 and hasn’t gotten any lower in some time.
My main problem is staying on track and keeping myself honest. I am terrible at sticking to my diet. I can do well for most of the week then completely f*** it up over the weekend. This seems like an unbreakable cycle and I that I have that little self control. Its like those evil eating habits that got me fat and kept me there keep haunting me and its a never ending battle that I usually lose.
Every time I have a bad day of eating I swear that starting tomorrow I will do better. Then a few days later the cylce repeats itself. I HAVE to get myself together with this. I’m tired of being stuck in between where I started and where I wanna be. I have to finish the job.

down another pound and half or so on Keto. I’m loving this diet … bacon, eggs, cheese, steak, fish, chicken, pork rinds….oh yeah.
Drank a little for the first time since starting it. Had one whiskey on the rocks…got a little buzzed but not much. I’m usually a beer kinda guy and didn’t care for the whiskey much which kept me from drinking more than one. Man, I miss my beer but the progress keeps me from indulging. I’m growing out of the need to drink all the time though.
My theory about why my progress halted in July until recently has to do wtih my drinking habits….drank like a fish most of the summer and fall….seems to correlate to my plateau. I was eating right and working out as much as ever but would binge drink 3-4 times a week. That stuff makes me lose all self control and I’ve found it best to avoid it completely.
I’m planning to do another round of p90x starting Jan 1. I’m already worried about how challenging it will be to stick with it, but it does work quite well. Just hard to get up at the butt crack of dawn every day and work out an 1-2 hours. Gotta get serious to make that happen… But at least I’m taking less classes next quarter and working less so I should have more time to devote to it. I’m still battling that lazy fat boy inside haha.

3 days into giving Keto a serious try and I’m down about 4 pounds. Most likely water weight, but its nice to see any kind of weight loss after months of being stuck at the same weight. Its effin hard to stick with though - only 3 days into it and those carbs look sooo good. Haha, more on my diet and how its working to come…stay tuned.
