As to the small meals debate, I'll say ... it depends on the individual. This is why the warrior diet is touted as the greatest diet on the planet for some yet other diets work equally well also.

;-)

Cawiau and the rest of the members of the fat nation that are trying this weird, wholesome healthy eating are stuck between level 2 and 3 of the competency of eating well. This is conscious incompetent and conscious competent. As in, he tries but when life is the pits, he forgets about it, and goes "To hell with it" and eats cheese pizza and hot wings.

Being between 2 and 3 is better then being at 1(which is unconscious competencw) where you don't even know you're eating horribly and that it effects you. Eh, I'm not going to chew you out but you're right. People do try to justify why they're fat and are in sheer denial to the amount of food their ingesting or should I say calories. I mean, I know a lot of people who live off of candy and Big Gulps all the time.

Actually i beg to differ. The benifit of eating small meals throughout the day is to beef up the metabolism. A higher metabolism helps to burn fat at a faster rate. Thats one of the main purposes of eating smaller meals more frequently. If you are taking in 3000 calories a day, you dont want to devide that up into three meals....you want to break that up into 5-7 meals, from when you first wake up to last meal of the day. You can coordinate your meals with whatever your goals are.

If I recall there hasn't been any data to support that eating frequent small meals is beneficial. If you meet your caloric goals for the day, then who cares? However, stopping and getting a cheese pizza and some wings is not the answer. I don't care how hungry you are. I find it funny that you make the justification of getting cheese because your wife is a vegetarian. Here honey, I know you can't eat meat, but here a grease and carb loaded bomb. Enjoy!

There have been plenty of times in which I have missed meals. However, I don't use that excuse to get meals that will hurt me. Man, I want you to succeed but you have to want to do. What makes it even harder is that, I know where you're coming from. I wasn't one of those skinny noodles with a fast metabolism trying to gain mass. I was just like you, I was fat and depressed. However, I told myself I want it. I told myself that there are no excuses.

Hell, I recently had a little "incident" because I push myself too damn hard. However, that's the nature of the beast. I guess some have it and some don't. I know you have it! That's why YOU inspire me, but come on man. Show me... better yet, show yourself that you can do it. No more excuses bro, NO MORE ******* excuses.
