Second day…still way behind the curve, but hanging in there!

Ok, today I did 2.92 miles, not bad but not impressive! As I stated, I would need to average about 5.5 Miles per day to be able to complete that challenge by August 31, 2008 and with yesterday and today combined, I not even meeting that challenge….so, speed needs to improve or cardio time need to be increased! Will see what I can come up with…

Today I went to Verona Park for my walk instead of the gym…I really enjoyed walking outside, fresh air, etc. But after the 2 miles walk, my left quads started to hurt; and my little toe in my right food was hurting really badly! Tried to hang in there for an extra mile but had to stop at the .92 miles mark!

So 4.02 miles down, 495.98 miles to go!!! Darn it, so depressive when I look at it this way! One day at a time, slowly but surely…..

A slow start but going for a strong finish!

I wanted to start this challenge off with a bang, you know, show that I am serious! God had a total different plan for me…caught a bad cold last night and woke up this morning feeling like shit! Can’t breathe thru my nose, coughing, runny eyes…you name it, I got it! So, I can also forget moving this weekend, no way I am going to be lifting furniture with the way I feel!

 Basically, I went to the gym anyway and did 20 minute on the treadmill. Not much, but enough to say that I started this challenge for good. Did 1.1 mile..so yeah, hopefully I need to increase the speed.

I made some calculation and it seems that I would need to average about 5.5 miles per day to get to that 500 Miles by the end of August 2008…so really slow start. …but got a few ideas.

 Will keep you guys posted!

I will walk 500 miles by the end of the summer!

Yep, my new sneakes have a workout coming for them! I just purchased new  Air Max Turbulence + and I am challenging myself to walk 500 Miles in them by Sept 1 2008!

It is now Wednesday May 28, 2008 and the goal is to have walk, jog, run 500 miles by September 1rst. I am going to start an excel spreadsheet that will keep track of every mile, day by day, no cheating!

 Damn…I am getting blisters just thinking about it! :)
